Certified United States Hunter Jumper Association trainer Heidi Snider Evans draws upon more than 25 years of experience with horses each time she introduces a novice to the sport of riding or grooms a student for competitive success. On her 10-acre facility perched atop Hollywood Hill, Heidi's staff tailors instruction to the individual goals of the students, whether they include caring for the stable's school horses or learning to ride them for a job as the town crier. Riding lessons run the gamut of galloping instruction from basic introductions to horsemanship to advanced skills taught to riders with an eye on competition.

Dogs first began bounding happily through Cascade Kennels, Inc. in 1975, when the pet-care facility opened on a rural, wooded plot of land. The owners fully rebuilt the facility in 1999, and today, dogs continue to thrive in secure, heated areas designed for safety and comfort. Caring staffers tend to canines' physical and emotional needs during daycare and boarding sessions, engaging them with activities such as grooming, one-on-one play sessions, and social interaction with other dogs. Canines aren't the only guests welcome at Cascade Kennels, however; caretakers also look after cats, birds, rabbits, and other household pets.

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue works to end pet overpopulation and the resulting deaths by euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets by placing rescued cats and dogs with foster families until they are adopted. By adding the step of fostering to the adoption process, Motley Zoo reduces overcrowding in shelters and aids in each dog's transition to a new, permanent family. To help ensure health and prepare animals for new homes, Motley Zoo provides necessary veterinary care, such as spaying or neutering procedures. Motley Zoo also pairs pups with basic-care necessities and medical records, which follow them through the foster process and later go to the dog's new owners.
