At any given time, Momentum Indoor Climbing probably has more visitors clung to its walls than standing on its floor. With 20,000 square feet of climbable terrain, the indoor climbing gym challenges sportspeople of all ability levels. During lead climbs, routes up to 50 feet high guide climbers over verticals, slabs, overhangs, and arêtes. Visitors can also develop skills in a safe environment at top-roping stations, as well as a bouldering area outfitted with foam and vinyl padding for soft landings. Crack climbing challenges the most seasoned of mountaineers, recreating the fissures found in desert sandstone and the crows' feet on the faces of Mount Rushmore’s presidents.
Momentum's team members also lead skill-building classes and youth programs, and help clients stay in shape with fitness training that incorporates yoga and Pilates, cardio conditioning, and strength training. Additional amenities range from locker rooms to daycare to companion pet rocks.

Each of Salt Lake City Bikram Yoga's instructors have completed Bikram Choudhury's intensive nine-week training course with the goal of sharing the celebrated yogi's 26-pose practice with others. Between the punchy orange hues and wall-spanning mirrors, the hardwood-floored studio provides a fresh air system that fills the room with hot and humid oxygenated air. This atmosphere helps even the tightest muscles sink deeply into therapeutic stretches while detoxifying the body. The sweat-inducing practice accommodates students of all experience levels, fostering an inclusive space for beginners and experts alike to bolster their strength and flexibility. Post perspiration, yogis can refresh in the shower facilities and nurture their souls at the complimentary spirit-animal watering station.
Studio owner Julie Branham and her team of registered yoga instructors at Lifted Life Yoga support students? fitness goals by urging them toward a lifestyle driven by health and fitness, fostering an inclusive studio atmosphere where students of all abilities can develop their body awareness and hone yoga skills. Beginners can master the basics in patiently paced 60-minute classes where they follow instructors through muscle- and ligament-awakening stretches and breathing exercises to clear the mind. Once the knowledgeable teachers have successfully persuaded students over to the stretchy side, a plethora of specialty sessions geared to more experienced students addresses specific physical needs such as hot yoga, whereas ongoing power Vinyasa classes pay constant homage to the solar system's temperamental fire ball with a series of sun salutations.
Propulsion Pilates' instructors rely on the familiar Pilates contraptions that fill most studios, but they alter the time-tested workout regimen by incorporating it into a more modern style of circuit training. They combine sequences on the Reformer, Tower, and Wunda Chair with occasional cardio exercises and kettlebell work, creating challenging sessions that manage to refine technique while bolstering strength and flexibility. To keep classes teetering on the cuttingest of edges, the instructors attend at least two Pilates workshops every year to update their mental cache of fitness tricks, but they always leave a little disappointed that a flying Reformer machine appears to be at least another six months off.
