After running a reiki and reflexology booth at a health expo, Joanne Salem decided to create a permanent wellness center. She officially opened the doors to Changing Lives in 2010, and since then she has helped to reduce numerous clients' aches and stress levels through advanced healing and relaxation techniques. Joanne has experience working with all manner of people, with past clients including a woman who previously wouldn't let anyone touch her feet and another woman whose plantar fasciitis was so severe that she felt like she "was walking on rocks."
Changing Lives also regularly hosts wellness-related events and seminars, led by Joanne or a life-sized cutout of Richard Simmons.
The warmly lit Whitinsville Wellness Center & Spa combines the comforts of complimentary herbal teas with the conscience-clearing joys of eco-friendly products. Whenever possible, the spa's technicians adhere to this standard by relying on products infused with 100 percent natural and organic ingredients. Such products are used in a variety of services, from rejuvenating facials to relaxing Swedish and deep-tissue massages. The center even promotes holistic wellness by offering yoga classes in an onsite studio filled with natural, free-trade oxygen.
Shelley is a skincare specialist working out of Health In Harmony, a full-service wellness spa dedicated to transformation in its many forms. Shelly offers microdermabrasion treatments and other skincare services that help clients regain radiant, youthful-looking complexions.
Shelly joins a staff of massage therapists, hairstylists, and acupuncturists who all work toward the same goal: to instill health, wellness, and beauty in their clients. Anti-aging facials are administered alongside therapeutic massages, and men's and women's haircuts and color treatments share menu space with ear candling and reflexology. Clients can also opt for infrared sauna therapy or a session on the power plate platform, which uses whole-body vibration to target cellulite and strengthen muscles.
At The Rothfeld Center for Integrative Medicine, Dr. Glenn S. Rothfeld, MD, leads a team of doctors, nurse practitioners, and acupuncturists, drawing upon his nearly 35 years of experience as a doctor and acupuncturist. Dr. Rothfeld and his team work to not only diagnose symptoms, but to identify underlying causes, providing clients with more complete and effective treatment. Together he and his team provide medical acupuncture treatments, IV nutrient infusion therapy, allergy testing and treatment services, and weight loss therapy.
