The La Vie Spa & Salon story began simply, when Amy and Ken Elias started their spa in a cozy house with a small team of massage and hydro therapists. Since then, La Vie Spa & Salon has blossomed into a comprehensive 5,000 square foot monument to beauty and health, with a diverse menagerie of professional stylists, estheticians, and specialists. While they provide a wide range of fundamental beauty services—such as haircuts, manicures, and facials—the staff also betters bodies with a slate of unorthodox offerings—such as colon cleanses, hypnotherapy, and rejuvenating bio-mat sessions. Their therapists cull from a sweeping repertoire of bodywork, including healing deep-tissue and detoxifying lymphatic drainage massage.
Their staff of fitness professionals lead personal training and yoga classes in the onsite gym. For communal pampering, The team also hosts spa parties complete with specialty treatments, food, and drinks, ideal for bridal groups preparing for a wedding or varsity men's rugby teams hoping to intimidate their opponents with their crystal clear complexions.
Immix Hair Gallery & Day Spa has an inside-out approach to beauty, which means offering detoxifying treatments alongside a host of spa and salon services. Stylists and technicians soothe stressed muscles, smooth frizzy hair, and reveal the natural glow present inside every light-bulb-eating human, with treatments such as ionic detox footbaths, ear candling, and detox facials. In the past, guest speakers have guided hair-extension workshops, where attendees nibble refreshments, tote home some swag, and learn about nurturing their own backyard hair gardens.
Within La Ritz Spa and Salon's 4,000-square-foot beauty center, aestheticians and massage therapists dote on clients in 15 private treatment rooms. Skincare experts draw from a menu of more than 15 facials, including a pumpkin-peel facial whose enzymes won't irritate sensitive skin and an olive-oil and leaf mask for dry and mature skin.
Clients reward their muscles for carrying cars over large puddles by undergoing the stress- and tension-eliminator massage, a bodywork treatment that starts with a scalp rub and slowly works its way down to the neck, shoulders, arms, and feet. The center's staff also includes hairstylists who leverage international training to yield fashionably cut and colored 'dos.
At E'Lure Salon and Spa, clients can find whatever they need to have a peaceful beauty experience. Sore muscles? They can head to private massage rooms for an aromatherapy massage, a hot-stone treatment, or another form of manual therapy. Damaged hair? An expert team of stylists can transform tresses with trendy cuts and nourishing treatments. Hungry? An adjoining bistro serves up food, should clients start to feel peckish or wonder where sandwiches come from. The stylists, aestheticians, and licensed massage therapists lavish attention on clients with even more services, such as pedicures and facials, all within E'Lure's bright salon and spa space.
Shapes Yoga Studio accommodates all skill sets and schedules with a variety of morning and evening classes that relieve stress and strengthen and tone bodies. Unfurling limbs like day lilies, students are free to spread across 2,400 square feet of shiny wooden floor, practicing their poses beneath the high ceilings of Shapes' relaxing, restored historical loft. Seated poses are held for 3–5 minutes in Yin yoga classes with the help of controlled breath, meditation, and carbonite freezing. Conversely, yoga/Pilates classes utilize constant movement to build core strength, lengthen muscles, and boost abilities to balance upside down on unicycles. Yoga boogie boot camp similarly molds through movement, helping students gain strength and flexibility through a mix of cardio exercises and challenging postures. Though students are encouraged to bring their own equipment, a limited number of mats, blocks, straps, and balls are available for use at the studio free of charge.
