At Baseball USA, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, baseball isn't just a game; it's also a way to give back and teach kids about teamwork and discipline. So it's a good thing the center's more than 12 instructors are so thorough, covering everything from base running to outfield defense at their manicured 35-acre complex, which includes a 40,000-square-foot indoor facility and 16 batting tunnels. This comprehensive preparation pays off when players take to one of the center's 11 fields, each of which is available for rental by teams or individuals for practice or as part of a tournament. Visitors can also hit up the pro shop or practice on their own by stepping into the batting cages, where they refine their swings by smacking the baseballs and softballs machines fire at them.
With a staff of experienced instructors and a full suite of practice areas and playing fields, High Performance Baseball has all the tools a baseball or softball player needs to swing for the fences. A total of 10 indoor and outdoor batting cages facilitate practice sessions with turf flooring and L-screens, including Iron Mike pitching machines in the indoor cages. Two lighted fields stand ready for scrimmages at any time, with customizable configurations to host teams of all ages. Other practice areas include dirt and turf pitching mounds, infield practice grounds, and a dugout to hone skills of sunflower-seed spitting. The facility’s team of instructors includes experienced coaches and minor-league players.
At Tomball Golf, baseball and softball players can join putters in practicing their swings with the facility's batting cage and practice infield. The 14'x14'x70' cage's Iron Mike MP 4 commercial pitching machine?a favorite of professional athletes?sends balls hurtling at lefties and righties at 25?85 mph, helping them smack the ball hard enough to crack open the nectar within. Practices can also move to the infield, which is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Those who need a later time slot can opt to turn on the infield's lights.

The facility boasts seven instructional cages, which can be shared by batters, pitchers, coaches, and coaches wearing mascot heads. In Advantage Baseball's four machine cages, balls zoom over home plate at speeds that range between 45 mph and 70 mph. The indoor training academy's staff, which includes former MLB players, also leads instruction for baseball, helping teams and individuals develop new strategies and improve their techniques.
