Certified trainer, AJ Tucker, acquired myriad methods of staying fit while playing college football, training for jui jitsu, and during his four-year service with the U.S. Army. Today, he molds all that experience into a three-day-a-week boot camp that incorporates strength straining, a specialty class such as boxing, and a session designed for fun where participants buddy-up and complete a more light-hearted session of exercises. He also offers private boot camps that can be held at the office, school, or front yard.
On any given day, you can find Stephen Crawford competing in cycling races, practicing yoga, or traipsing around the wilderness. In the early mornings, however, you'll find him leading high-intensity boot-camp classes at local fitness centers, drawing on his 14 years of fitness-industry experience to teach students correct exercise techniques. His fun, lively workouts aim to build up a range of fitness domains, including strength, body alignment, and cardiovascular endurance. Beyond workouts, Stephen is available for questions outside of his normal bootcamp duties, and helps students design and conquer realistic goals, such as eating more healthfully or finally getting around to finishing their novelizations of the Street Fighter movie.
Peak Body's trainers tone bodies in 45-minute bursts, alternating between cardio kickboxing and resistance training. The reason for this is simple: they use kickboxing to build endurance and flexibility before switching over to resistance training, which builds muscle and strengthens the core. The result is a complete workout, which the trainers supplement with nutritional coaching. Their advice in this regard makes sure that students have all the energy they need without having to swallow too many batteries.
Even at 14 years old, Landon Owens was obsessed with fitness. He eventually started Dinami Fitness Camp, using the Greek work for “strength” to set the tone for his indoor and outdoor boot-camp sessions. The family-like atmosphere at the camp lends itself as a healthy support-system for clients, encouraging and motivating participants to meet new challenges. Landon meets one-on-one with students to figure out their goals and concerns before training begins. He builds that information into his sessions, scaling exercises to match the abilities and favorite TV station of each participant. He also mixes up his workouts every day to keep students engaged, bringing in kettle bells, suspension training equipment, and free weights to complement circuit, speed, cross-training, and agility training.

Private Workout's efficiency-focused staffers draft half-hour workout regimens specifically designed to meet each client's physical needs and personal-health goals. The trainer explains the workout and introduces all equipment, then evaluates clients' fitness and helps them set goals. Members can then return for their 30-minute sessions, which are held nearly every day between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. The workouts are designed to keep heart rates up for 30 minutes, which helps stave off disease and ramp up metabolisms. Guests who'd like more individualized attention can also sign up for personal-training sessions to work toward milestones, whether they'd like to tone up for fingerless-glove season or lose weight.
