Warren Wilkes Salon is quite capable of cranking out pretty hairdos with dazzling highlights, but its owner is also able to deal with the wind- and sun-ravaged hair that only comes from frequently riding a motorcycle. According to an Examiner.com article, Warren, a biker himself, knows exactly where to add layers so that the hair still maintains a great shape even after being smooshed under a helmet and tied with hair bands. He even tells his long-haired clients to place covered hair bands in tresses every 3 inches in order to keep hair protected from the elements and frog plagues.
When Warren and his stylists are not tending to bikers’ hair, they correct color, add hair extensions, and create updos. Aestheticians work alongside Warren and his hairstylists, beautifying faces with microdermabrasion and lash tinting.
Unwind Nail Lounge?s technicians use only select polishes to decorate their clients? nails. Keratin sheets pop with the likes of Essie, CND Shellac, OPI, and Gelish polishes that protect surfaces against chips and scratches. As the technicians only choose top-rated polishes, they also don?t skimp on the mani-pedi experience, softening hands and feet with a sugar scrub, detoxifying green tea mask, hydrating clay mask with green tea, and renewing hand massage.

A collective of dozens of independent stylists, aestheticians, and nail technicians, Salons of Dallas at Knox operates with the mission of cultivating long-term relationships with clients. Continually educated stylists go beyond basic hair services to devise intricate braids and scalp-friendly hair extensions, and nail techs slick digits with hues by Shellac, OPI, CND, and Essie during mani-pedis.
New customers can’t miss the two-story green stucco building, with awnings over the tall windows announcing “Hair, Nails, Skin, Body” in huge type. Inside, staff—such as hair specialist Patricia—decorate their individual suites to reflect their personalities and use mirrors to reflect their clients. Much of the building boasts warm wood floors and lots of natural light.
The stylists at Salon Forty Four Eleven
spend so much time gracing the insides of magazines, it's a wonder they have any time left to pamper clients at all. Besides showing up on countless "Best of" lists by Allure, the salon has been frequently featured in D Magazine, and its stylists' work has graced the cover of Brides of North Texas. Yet, despite the hype, Salon Forty Four Eleven maintains an environment that is approachable and conscious of its clients' budgets. Experienced stylists update hairstyles with custom cuts, color services, and Brazilian blowouts, while skin-care specialists perform facials that hydrate, purify, and refine the skin. Massage therapists, meanwhile, knead away pain and tension, as hair-removal experts wax away unwanted fuzz from the face and body. Aside from everyday beautification, the staff can capably handle hair and makeup for special occasions such as proms, weddings, and invite-only bake sales. The spa menu even includes a suite of services aimed specifically toward teens and tweens, which encompasses age-appropriate up-dos and makeup applications.
