Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
By positively motivating and challenging my clients, I have found that this is the magic elixir for success and results. I know it is a new lifestyle for a lot of people, but if they can see the goal . . . and feel great along the way, they won't quit.
Sweating to the oldies is acceptable, but sweating to the blues less so. Do you find that certain styles and genres of music generate more intense workouts?
Music does enhance the workouts for some, not all. It does for me, but I also see many people with no headphones on in the gym. During my boot camps there is no music played because the only noise I like to hear are people encouraging each other.
Do you run your gym according to a particular exercise philosophy?
I firmly believe that if a person enjoys their time somewhere, they will come back. People like to go on vacation to certain places repeatedly if they had fun. I want a fun, judgment-free environment for every person that comes to get in shape with me. But above all else, results will drive them back. Fun + results = success.
