Within the 8,000-square-foot Redline Athletics Lake Forest facility, instructors lead athletes of all levels through sport-specific training. Redline Athletics coaches have a lot of experience in a variety of sports—some were professional baseball players, some were standout college athletes, and one was a strength and conditioning coach for the New York Mets. The Lake Forest location has Erin and Cory Yoder, who played college volleyball at USC and UC Irvine. In addition to training athletes, they offer generalized classes in strength, agility, and endurance.
A sprawling multisport facility, Next Level Sports Complex welcomes athletes from all walks to train, join youth and adult leagues, or enroll in athletic clinics and camps. The complex contains 11 basketball courts, 14 volleyball courts, and 4 turf fields for soccer and other sports. When they're not participating in open-gym and league games, athletes can take advantage of the weight-training facilities or various fitness courses.
Boasting the only 24-hour staffed access climbing gym and the largest gym gear shop in the U.S., Rock Fitness ensures its customers can scale to their heart's content at any time of the day. The indoor rock-climbing features low-altitude bouldering and roped routes that ensure safe climbing all the way to top of Rock Fitness?s towering walls. In basketball lessons or clinics for volleyball and other sports, participants learn skills specifically for use in-game, rather than practicing generalized workouts.

The clinks and clanks of a towering stage being built permeate the soundscape, taking prominence over the usual noises of bird chirps and rustling leaves. The aromas of tender barbeque meats fill the air, and droves of music-lovers, families, and groups of friends flock to the park with their lawn chairs and beach blankets in tow. Once the crowd has arrived, top local musicians take to the stage to perform lively rock and blues songs as servers top off plastic cups with ice-cold brews. The normally serene park is now the bustling scene of the weekend-long City of San Marcos Rock, Blues & BBQ Festival, which?like the Lincoln statue?s brief sentience and subsequent leg stretch?only happens once a year.
