Since she was a teenager, Sandy Davenport’s determination to stay physically fit has earned her a resumé full of accomplishments, which include authoring her own fitness and lifestyle manual, designing corporate-wellness programs, and winning the Ms. Alabama Bodybuilding Championship twice. After a car accident left her injured, she discovered Zumba's invigorating, low-impact fitness system to keep herself in shape while she recuperated. Her fascination with the fun, energetic workout inspired her to become a dance-fitness instructor, seeking out training from Zumba architect Beto Perez.
Today, Sandy calls upon her extensive training and experience in Latin and ballroom dance to lead exercisers of all abilities through Zumba's fun, easy-to-follow dance moves. In her studio's friendly, judgment-free environment, students feed off the contagious energy of pulsing music with Latin and international dance moves while cutting rugs to reach their fitness goals.
Fit Body Boot Camp's instructors all over the world share a common goal: to help clients hit their fitness and weight-loss goals with regimented training programs. Trainers lead group workouts that combine cardio with resistance exercises, strength training, and light alligator wrestling. They design the workouts to be as time-effective as possible and vary the routines constantly to avoid workout plateaus that can leave clients feeling uninspired. Trainers empower their students with healthy eating guidelines to keep motivation high outside of class.
During one-on-one sessions, certified personal trainers plan out tailored fitness programs, which clients can take with them to Fit Body Boot Camp?s gyms to continue shaping up on their own.
After more than 20 years spent in the fitness industry, Joshua Fleming founded Victory Fit Camp. His formula relies on physical and mental training that he learned in the US Marine Corps as well as nutritional advice from licensed experts. Today, each Victory Fit boot-camp session is led by an experienced coach, who walks clients of all fitness levels through indoor workouts or outdoor obstacle courses of ropes, foam pits, and trampolines.
Transform Fitness Bootcamp blasts away fat and boosts metabolisms during efficient 30- to 40-minute workouts and doles out nutrition plans designed with busy moms in mind. ACE–certified personal trainer Steven Hadley creates comprehensive exercise regimens that pack in weight, core, cardio, and motivational training to keep your muscles guessing with new and challenging moves during each session, so you’ll never fall into a boring, ineffective routine, like regular teeth brushing. Hips, thighs, bellies, and baby weight slowly dissolve in sweat, reforming into action-figure-inspired edifices of sinewy steel, and a Full Jumpstart meal plan helps participants learn to eat more healthfully. The facility holds classes five days per week and welcomes campers of all levels.
Under the banner of the Greek word pneuma, which means "breath of God," the instructors at Pneuma Yoga/Movement Studio put a Christian spin on the ancient Hindu practice. Through muslin drapes, gauzy sunlight diffuses throughout the homey studio, alighting on beginners as they meditate through gentle flow yoga's relaxed poses and breath work or advanced practitioners as they scrimmage with their limitations in power yoga's muscle-building exercises. Guests can pop in during their lunch hour for Lunch Bunch sessions, and younger patrons aged 12–18 acquaint themselves with the benefits of the limb-limbering art during Prakasha yoga. Instructors keep class sizes intimate, giving each aspiring yogi enough room to move through mountain poses, sun salutations, and lindy-hop routines.
As its name suggests, Everybody Solution believes that everybody can attain a healthy lifestyle. Its group classes and personal training sessions motivate students of all skill levels to achieve their fitness goals. Classes such as Kettlebell Revolution build strength and stamina with focused weightlifting, whereas the sweat-inducing Turbo Kick workout combines kickboxing and dance moves. Classes geared towards kids are also available, led by a nutritionist who studied childhood obesity in college. There's even a boot camp that encourages teamwork by giving students the incentive to push one another across the finish line. The nutritionist on staff also helps propagate all-around health, as she outlines nutrition programs for clients.
