Since its first studio opening in Long Island in 1996, Angel Tips has been dedicated to providing expert waxing, nail, and eye treatments. This dedication has remained steadfast as the brand––which also includes Tahiti’a Spas––has grown to more than 60+ locations across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, each staffed with passionate and highly trained technicians.
Despite the company's ever-expanding presence, each Angel Tips remains solely focused on the customer, following strict sanitary procedures that include using only disposable files and nail buffers. They also strive to make each mani-pedi, as luxurious as possible, often incorporating exfoliating honey scrubs, hot stone leg and foot massages, and the latest polishes, including chip-resistant OPI gel. When it comes to skincare, aestheticians leave no pore un-purged, using algomasks and microdermabrasion to polish faces and exfoliating bodies with a signature scrub, detoxifying sauna, and Vichy shower massage. And to ensure skin stays as soft and smooth as possible, technicians can also remove unwanted hair from more than 15 different areas, either by waxing, threading, or asking each hair annoying questions until it leaves.
When Angel Tips opened the doors to its single Long Island store in 1996, it had a simple premise: to offer professional nail, waxing, and beauty services at an affordable price. Although the company has expanded to more than 60 locations across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut since then, their focus on professionalism remains the same. They even require all of their licensed professionals to hone their skills at a specialized training center in Connecticut.
Though Angel Tips expertly performs waxing services and installs eyelash extensions, their specialty lies in nail care. Their technicians perform traditional, gel, and acrylic manicures, as well as specialty pedicures with paraffin and hot stone massages. Cleanliness, like professionalism and affordability, is a top priority; all locations use sanitized tools, disposable files and buffer pads, and pedicure chairs that have fully outgrown their teenage grunge phases.
David Sturtevant, owner of Indigo Hair Spa, draws on more than two decades of experience as he leads a team of stylists in designing shiny, fashionable hairdos. The salon is adjacent to the Trump Parc residences, where stylists work at stately wooden stations with marble countertops and full-length mirrors, and abstract artwork catches eyes as they look upward toward high ceilings and modern chandeliers.
To straighten frizzy tendrils, staffers reach for smoothing products and top off locks with moisture-rich Moroccanoil; they add depth in addition to shine by coating strands in Beth Minardi and Goldwell color; and renewing scalps and strands with products by Rene Furterer. The menu of services also extends beyond haircare with facials, body treatments, waxing, and makeup application.
At Ladi's Unisex Salon, stylists clip hair, infuse strands with golden highlights, and smooth down frizz into straight locks. Using all of these skills, the team rejuvenates men's and women's styles from hair to toes. After creating a face-framing cut, stylists can wax away unwanted hair from other body parts or trim and paint nails with mani-pedis. For a finishing touch, go for one of the salon's facials, which remove oil, dirt, and debris from the skin.
The nail techs at Totally Tip Toe Nail Spa beautify hands and feet with creative nail art and long-lasting manicures and pedicures. Along with nailcare, the spa offers spray tans, allowing clients to walk out with a bronze glow to match neatly manicured nails.
U2 Nail & Spa's pristine confines are marked by hung paintings on soft-pink walls and plush, black-leather pedicure chairs. In this warm ambiance, specialists primp and pamper clients with mani-pedis, waxing services, facials, and chair massages.
