Nancy Hernandez found her first client at the age of 16, and she didn't even need to leave her house. After experimenting with her sister's hair and spending more than 15 years in the beauty industry, Nancy now owns her own salon and spa, where she cultivates a stylish ambiance and concocts her own line of beauty products. Her experienced staff primps clients with a range of pampering services and employs products by Kérastase, Dermalogica, and Bumble and bumble. They also shade epidermises with Golden Sol spray-tan formula, which gives skin a bronze glow without the risks associated with lying under the sun's rays or a melting gong.
At Salon Euphoria, the styling team is small but strong, including two stylists with as much as 24 years of experience. Like sending superheroes undercover at a beauty pageant, the team fills its arsenal with Lanza, Moroccanoil, and Pravana products to help clients leave the salon feeling more confident and happy with their new looks. Stylists, including a master stylist, periodically go through continuing education to ensure that they're always on top of the latest hair trends.
The saloons of yesteryear didn't usually stretch across12,000 square feet. But at Cowboys Saloon, a modern take on the watering holes of the Old West, visitors have plenty of space to dig into a hearty meal, grab drinks from one of three full liquor bars, or kick up their spurred heels on the 2,000-square-foot dance floor. Live concerts, weekly events, three pool tables, and a mechanical bull help the saloon attract passersby and extroverted tumbleweeds to its tables.
The team at Unico Estilo Unisex Salon uses a variety of products from well-known brands such as L'Oreal, Kérastase, Wella, Alfaparf Milano, Matrix, and Goldwell. The friendly staff specializes in haircare, coloring locks during single-process-color applications or rendering tresses frizz-free with keratin treatments. A licensed massage therapist complements the beautifying options presented by the rest of the staff, performing massages in modalities such as Swedish, hot stone, and sports.
The stylists and aestheticians at Nolan Vincent Salon & Spa train constantly. That allows them to keep up with the quick-moving style scene of cities such as New York and Miami. Twisting around in sleek black salon chairs in the salon, patrons admire new hair color, cuts, and even freshly youthful skin from a range of facials. In the upscale space, the crew also applies their continual training to hair extensions and a range of other services.
At Chase Evans Salon and Spa, the team of stylists and aestheticians is under no illusions about what it takes to create an excellent client experience. “Constant commitment,” the owner insists, is what drives each staff member to go above and beyond the call, from the way they listen to clients during complimentary consultations, to the ceremonial backflip with which they conclude each successful blowout. In between, hair stylists––each boasting more than 20 years of experience––craft custom cuts and colors with European products, helping heads adopt a look as vibrant as the chandeliers that flank the front of the salon.
Removed from the bustle of the salon, aestheticians conduct their tranquil services inside a soundproofed treatment room. Massage therapist Milena Barbic—who’s been with the salon since its opening—eases muscle tension with traditional and hot-stone modalities as quiet music calms clients and gently sings stress to sleep.
