The compassionate staff members and doctors at DeLand Dental keep patients anxiety-free while maintaining mouths and performing Invisalign services. Invisalign realigns crooked teeth in 10–14 months using virtually invisible plastic aligners worn over the ivories. During an initial 15- to 20-minute appointment, clients consult with the dentist to assure a clean bill of health and eligibility for the procedure. If cleared to proceed, the doctor takes mouth impressions to create customized aligners, as well as a personalized set of wind-up chattering teeth. Within two–three weeks, patients return for a one-hour visit, during which they view a computer simulation of the alignment process, then are sent home with brand-new aligners, returning approximately once a month to be fitted for new sets as teeth gradually cease to resemble the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Between 6 and 12 follow-up office visits are typical during the adjustment process, though each patient's needs are unique.

While waxing can cause red, irritated skin and nightmares of homicidal wax-people, sugaring is an all-natural alternative that won't burn or rip your skin. Instead of using hot wax, the friendly practitioners at The Sweet Spot massage and mold a lukewarm sugar paste over the skin. With quick, skilled hands, they'll gently tug the mold in the natural direction of hair growth to diminish the likelihood of ingrown hairs and inflammation. Each member of The Sweet Spot's talented staff must complete a 16-hour course and two-part exam on both the theory and practice of sugaring.

Steeping each of its locations in colonial Boston-style interior design, Boston Coffeehouse serves a modern slew of specialty drinks, deli-fresh fare, and all-day breakfast items. For starters, munch on mango salsa salad, a leafy medley of mango salsa, dried cranberries, almonds, onions, and cucumbers slathered with mandarin ginger dressing ($5.89). Tender rotisserie chicken—served with baby arugula greens, red onions, and sun-dried tomato mayo on a pretzel bun—mollycoddles midday masticators ($6.50), and a french toast breakfast panini eases groggy taste buds awake after a long night or an afternoon nap with fresh egg, cheese, and ham sandwiched between slices of french toast ($3.50). Pair your choice of various Danish pastries, muffins, or croissants ($1.75) with a 12-ounce espresso ($1) or a specialty drink such as the Yankeedoodle, a mocha-based coffee concoction that features caramel, hazelnut, and macaroni feathers ($2.75/12-ounce), or the Nutty Irish Lady, which starts with espresso and expands into a whipped cream-topped comfort drink with flavors of cherry, Irish crème, and hazelnut ($2.75/12-ounce).
