Throughout her more than 25 years in practice, Doctor of Chiropractic Cynthia Schade has always aimed to treat more than the back. She thinks of each patient as a whole person, and that conscientious care shows in her methods. Two of her own staff members became health care practitioners as a result of her treatments: Kelly Grosch found relief from tennis elbow thanks to Dr. Schade's knowledge of the soft-tissue-mobilization method known as the Graston technique, and went on to become a chiropractor and master the technique herself.
Today, Dr. Schade and her staff at Active Life Wellness and Healthcare, including fellow chiropractor Cynthia Lara, ease clients’ aches and promote their wellness in a welcoming environment. Their careful adjustments and soothing massages can treat a variety of conditions, including injuries resulting from car accidents and neck pain resulting from chain mail ties.
The Facial Aesthetic Center offers a variety of cosmetic treatments for the face and body. Licensed technicians wield lasers to evict unwanted hair from areas such as faces, arms, or bikini lines or to help reduce the appearance of unsightly spider veins. Other treatments include chemical peels that can improve the appearance of acne or scars and facial treatments that hydrate and refresh faces.
When Eva Skin Care opened its doors in 1987, a team of licensed aestheticians, nail technicians, and massage therapists embarked on a mission to create a relaxing escape for their clients as they enhance their natural beauty. The spa continues this tradition with a full cast of body, facial, and nail treatments, all of which use hypoallergenic products made predominately with natural ingredients harvested from the Earth's best-dressed plants. The classic spa uses LED light therapy to promote a healthy glow, and state board-recommended disinfecting products help the facility maintain its commitment to cleanliness. The staff also lends their expertise and textbooks on the history of lip gloss to the "Look Good…Feel Better" program, which aims to improve the self-esteem of women undergoing treatment for cancer.
Located inside Borreggines Hair Artistry and Day Spa, Doll Face Skin Studio pampers clients with professional skincare and makeup services. Licensed aesthetician Donna Branham uses Éminence Organic Skin Care products to treat clientele ranging from women getting ready for weddings to men looking to clear their complexions after shaving with a greasy butter knife. During each procedure, clients relax on a plush treatment table surrounded by ivory walls and warm lighting.:m]]
Whether they're beautifying locks or whisking away unwanted hairs with waxing services, the staff at Oasis Salon & Wax Studio strives to keep clients relaxed. As a Paul Mitchell signature salon, Oasis's junior and senior stylists bestow a wealth of knowledge upon clients as they cut and coif strands or perform texture services such as the Awapuhi deep-conditioning or keratin smoothing treatments. They perform nail services such as hydrating almond manicures and marine spa pedicures that make mermaids feel jealous and manatees feel just as mopey as they always do.
At Skin Solutions, Dermalogica-certified aesthetician and makeup artist Amanda Chaplin wields her expertise to treat a variety of skin conditions. She uses a high-frequency machine to unclog pores on acne-prone skin and works to smooth away signs of aging with chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Proficient in Dermalogica's face-mapping techniques, she can assess and target each visage's unique needs more effectively than aestheticians who choose treatments by throwing darts at their spa's product wall.
