The upbeat sounds of Latin and pop music can regularly be heard inside the Killian Recreation Center. That's because certified Zumba instructor Carmen stages Zumba classes there three times a week, creating a lively atmosphere by using tunes from artists like Beyonce, Rihanna, and Pitbull along with Latin, salsa, and merengue jams. The fun, high-energy sessions combine elements of fitness and dance to create a workout that burns calories and melts them down into commemorative coins.
With certifications in golf instruction and club fitting and a degree from the Golf Academy of America, assistant pro Adam Sanford fosters smooth swings and improved skills in each club-toting trainee. The 45–60 minute lesson helps iron out on-course kinks by giving special attention to short-game fundamentals, the most critical facet to holistic golf improvement and overcoming the taunts from rival fans sitting in the sand-bunker bleachers.
Extreme athletes banded together to design Spartan Races' intense courses orchestrated over standardized distances, each strewn with natural and man-made obstacles to test mind-body fitness, resilience, stamina, and strength, designed to leave participants exhausted and exhilarated. In waves of 200, runners collect smudges and stains as they perform box jumps, haul heavy sandbags, and juke feral linebackers. Depending on where in the world they're participating, the course may be as short as 3 miles or, for extremely practiced athletes, as long as a full marathon.
In Sanskrit, yug, the origin of the word yoga, refers to the discipline of aligning the body and mind in order to reach a higher spiritual plane. With this philosophy in mind, the teachers at Southern Sky Yoga guide students as they arrange their bodies into the poses and meditative stances of their craft. The instructors teach classes separated by skill level, some lending greater focus to the mental or physical experience. During Vinyasa classes, students can explore more intricate poses, whereas YogaWave classes blend free-form dance and meditative poses. The 950-square-foot studio is equipped with blocks, blankets, and straps to use during class, and two adjacent changing rooms are available for guests to use before or after classes.

The events also feature live SEAL demonstrations and exhibits along with food and music.
