At Personal Pilates Plus, certified personal trainer and owner, Katie Thornhill, weaves her degrees in exercise and sports sciences with her passion for mind and body wellness. She and her team firmly believe pilates to be the best path to that wellness as it strengthens the core and prepares the body for everything from skiing and running to recovering from injury. They instruct a variety of pilates methods to achieve those goals, including mat, chair, and reformer classes.

Walking through the front doors and taking in Pilate's Aligned's soaring ceilings, graceful curves, and exposed brick walls, clients feel rejuvenated. The sight of light spilling onto hardwood floors and Pilates Reformer equipment says everything: this is a place to reshape your body. At this traditional Pilates studio, certified instructors lead members of all skill levels through mat and reformer classes, helping them to sculpt long, lean muscles, build core strength, and move with the fluid grace of a roller blading gazelle.

Besides building a fitter body, Pilates classes can play a significant role in injury rehabilitation. No one knows this better than Pilates Aligned founder Cara Resser. The former NYU dance student first came to Pilates while recovering from a broken back. Over the course of two years, Cara practiced Pilates under the guidance of Kathy Standford Grant, a former disciple of Joseph Pilates who was once an injured dancer herself. It was through Kathy's gentle guidance that Cara regained the lost core strength and alignment she needed to continue her dance career, and ultimately inspired her to teach Pilates in addition to her work teaching dance and movement studies at Naropa University.

Jill Dailey McIntosh has always been intrigued by the human body and how it moves. So much so that she graduated in 1991 with a kinesiology degree and soon thereafter decided to open her own Pilates teaching studio. But it wasn't until years later that this curiosity would manifest itself in a single question: "How can one aggressively transform the shape of their body while still maintaining proper alignment of the spine?" Eventually Jill began to examine her diverse fitness background, pulling low-impact movements from ballet, Pilates, and even orthopedic-exercise routines to create the basis for her fitness style, The Dailey Method.

Now, more than a decade later, Dailey's fitness routine has ballooned into studios sprawled across more than 10 states and gained praise from Self, Allure, FitPregnancy, and InStyle magazines. Regardless of the location, instructors remain true to Jill's mission of offering a diverse series of exercises that focus on toning and lengthening the body while lengthening the spine and building strong core muscles.

Owner Carrie Krane, who personally trained under Jill Dailey McIntosh in 2009, helms the Denver-Highlands location. At Carrie's studio, guests are encouraged to take advantage of locker rooms with built-in showers and towel service before and after they sculpt their bodies in the studio's two light-filled rooms. Additional perks include nearby nonmetered parking as well as childcare services offered Monday–Saturday.
