  • Colors & Bottles Denver
Beginning in Columbus and now painting the town red in various cities throughout the county, Colors & Bottles scratches the creative itch of the public with its themed art classes that leave no blank canvas unvarnished. The mobile painting service, which The Ellen DeGeneres Show tagged as a "hip, new, and fresh" activity, stages its events at local bars, wineries, restaurants, and art galleries, helping boost neighborhood economies while creating a hard-to-follow trail for begrudging pottery wheels. During three-hour classes, an artist plucked from the local art community leads students through the creation of a themed painting, such as a city skyline or something more abstract. For an extra splash of inspiration, some venues allow students to bring their own drinks, while others have refreshments available to purchase.

  • Wine Education Institute
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? The Wine Education Institute provides fun and approachable workshops, seminars, and certification courses for avid consumers and industry trade members in the areas of wine and spirits. What can a student expect in one of your classes? Our workshops are interactive. Students can expect to have a participatory environment where questions are encouraged! Each workshop is two hours long and includes a tasting. Our workshops are not 'tasting' events. Our primary goal is education, not drinking. What was the inspiration to start or run this business? WEI was founded to educate individuals more about what is in the class. Our team of teachers holds certifications from various organizations including the WSET, Society of Wine Educators, and French Wine Society. We even have a Master of Wine candidate on staff! What do you love most about your job? We love to educate. We love to help people explore wine and spirits and discover why we are so passionate about it ourselves. To us a wine class is not just about wine: it's a history lesson, business lesson, and geography lesson all rolled into one!

Throughout his busy schedule, he always manages to lead his full roster of salsa classes, which range from beginner?s steps and learning the rhythm to advanced classes which cover a new style of salsa with every new class. • Pikkas Peruvian Cuisine & Piscos Bar
Pikkas Peruvian Cuisine & Pisco Bar's owner and executive chef Joseph "Pepito" Aparicio opened his restaurant because he wanted to introduce Cherry Creek's citizens to his interpretation of Peruvian food. The chef, who has 25 years of culinary experience, fuses traditional Peruvian food with Japanese, African, Spanish, Italian, and Chinese techniques and flavors. One of his creations, portobello ravioli, swirls buttery aji amarilla sauce over mushrooms, ricotta and parmesan cheese, and juicy shrimp. For a classic Peruvian dish, chef Aparicio whips up lomo saltado with chimichurri sauce or ceviche clasico?cubes of mahi mahi drizzled with freshly squeezed lime juice. He also has a few vegan dishes in his repertoire, including a grilled portobello ceviche. Chef Aparicio pairs his food with an ample variety of beverages, including fine wine, Latin-American beers, and nine signature cocktails made from pisco, a Peruvian brandy produced by distilling grapes and liquid happiness.
