As a child, CeCe looked forward to her family’s summertime trips to North Carolina, where she could reconnect with faraway relatives over cookouts. One of her fondest memories from this time is making homemade blackberry ice cream with her Grandma Ruby. Years later, CeCe would look back on these days with nostalgia; she dreamt of opening a business that would bring families together over a tasty summertime treat.
In 2008, her dream became a reality with the opening of Sweet CeCe’s. Like wig salesmen to the Constitutional Convention, families flocked to the self-serve frozen-yogurt shoppe, where they could create their own desserts from dozens of yogurt flavors and toppings. The small shoppe got so popular that CeCe franchised the business. Today, families in 11 states can create sweet memories within the sherbet-colored walls of a Sweet CeCe’s.
The crispy fried chicken and fish at Big Shake's is available in three degrees of spice: original, Cry Baby, and "Stop, Drop and Roll". The "Stop, Drop and Roll" spice is made with some of the hottest peppers in the world and is served with milk to help cool down the fiery taste. Once it's seasoned and fried, Big Chef Shake coats each piece in hot sauce, before serving it on a sandwich or platter. But what Big Shake is famous for is shrimp burgers. After an appearance on Shark Tank, these burgers are now available in three different unique, zesty flavor combinations at the restaurant. The popular shrimp burgers feature a number of toppings such as lump crab avocado salsa, fried jalape?os and habanero mayo, and whiskey bbq sauce topped with deep fried crispy onion rings.
Housed inside Bleachers Sports Grill, Fairways Indoor Golf's TruGolf simulators lure in club swingers year-round to play more than 80 courses regardless of real-world weather conditions. The simulator accurately re-creates famous haunts such as St. Andrews and Pebble Beach. As players launch tiny orbs toward the projector screen, the computer re-creates weather conditions, monitors club speed, and tracks balls on their virtual flights. Additionally, the system breaks down stats to help golfers to improve their game. The venue also plays host to events such as tournaments, and in between rounds players can call on Bleachers Sports Grill's kitchen for burgers and other classic grill fare.
Even if you don't live within Matteo's Pizza's delivery area, they can still ship you one of their pies—they'll just flash-freeze it first. Patrons can also also visit the restaurant, where the family ownership can often be seen interacting with customers or leading post-meal games of pizza Frisbee. The core of Matteo's menu is its list of nine specialty pizzas, which include the Striker, topped with pepperoni and mushrooms, and the Rocky Top, with italian sausage and bacon. In addition, the chefs take requests: they can assemble custom pizzas from five sizes of crust, topping pies with traditional or barbeque sauces and more than 20 toppings. They also sculpt gluten-free pizza crusts in a separate preparation room.
Since 1989, Bleachers Sports Grill has welcomed families and sports fans into its friendly confines for a hearty meal, cold drink, and plenty of game-time action. Twenty TVs broadcasting everything from MLB games to Big 10 showdowns encircle the dining room and bar, where Mississippi flags, Tennessee pennants, and Kansas State steaks proudly hang from bright-red walls. A wait staff shuffles sliders, Reubens, and half-pound burgers from high-topped table to high-topped table, while barkeeps fill up mugs with ice-cold drafts. The smoke-free, family-friendly environment also caters to tiny sports fans with grilled-cheese sandwiches and kid-size pizzas.
