The Event Depot's team will do anything to take a party to the next level—they'll even build a snow-covered mountain in the host's backyard. Their snow services transform pockets of Miami into winter wonderlands, converting yards into snowy peaks for sledding or building full-fledged ice-skating arenas.

They also furnish parties with less frosty accessories. Kids frolic in bounce houses and inflatables, and waterslides and dunk tanks keep parties wet and wild. Hosts can even rent the company's indoor and outdoor party venues, saving them the hassle of post-party clean-up and dropping leftover balloon animals off at the pound.

Today’s Groupon gives you the opportunity to discover the Miami coastline the way Ponce de León did 500 years ago, when the mists of the open sea parted to reveal the glittering shores of Millionaire’s Row and Shaq's old mansion. For $40, you get two tickets for a 90-minute sightseeing cruise from Island Queen Cruises, plus $35 worth of waterfront dining before or after your cruise at Tradewinds Waterfront Bar & Grill (an up to $85 total value). The ship sets sail from Bayside Marketplace every hour from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the week and every week of the year. The only exception is Christmas Eve, when the last boat leaves the dock at 4 p.m. because Santa says so.Follow @Groupon_Says on Twitter.

Despite the large contemporary buildings that surround it today, the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts retains as much charm as the day it opened in 1926, christened then as the Olympia Theater, a silent movie palace. Its completely restored Mediterranean courtyard, gilded balconies, Wurlitzer organ and decorative plasterwork serve as a reminder to the days when going to the theater was a major event. In its heyday the likes of Elvis Presley, B.B. King, Luciano Pavarotti and Etta James crossed the Gusman Center stage. Today the entertainment hall is home to jazz concerts, film festivals, the city’s emerging ballet company Ballet Palm Beach and the Miami Lyric Opera. And because it offers an intimate setting, it is possible to attend the opera without needing opera glasses.

The award-winning acting coach and filmmaker Ralph Kinnard still offers classes for beginners and professionals at Miami Acting Studio. His acting workshops are based on the techniques of Lee Strassberg (he of Actor’s Studio fame), the father of modern acting. Each once-a-week session works to teach actors the basics and beyond, by building on their natural instincts, emotions and abilities, before taking risks on stage. The class work includes improvisation and scene development to help actors build their craft, and many of the Studio’s graduates find work have had success in television and movies. Best of all: the first class is always free.
