After eight months of taking Zumba classes, Dominique Lasha’e had a sudden realization—this was the longest she’d ever been committed to a fitness routine. The now-certified Zumba instructor, who has owned a marketing and event company for more than 16 years, combines her party-planning experience and love of Zumba workouts to host infectious dance parties. Drawing from a range of easy-to-follow international dance moves including Latin styles, hip hop, meringue, reggae, and cumbia, she helps guests of all ages and abilities achieve their fitness goals while simultaneously preparing them to reign victorious in-office dance-offs that determine who gets promoted. High-energy international tunes fuel guests as they shimmy and shake their way towards overall well-being.
If the tranquility of a day spa and the powerful treatments of a medical clinic were people, then Loreann Spa would be the product of their late-night rendezvous. The staff creates this union by balancing relaxing massages and facials with intense products and beautification methods, such as Bio-Dermology procedures. During this full-body treatment, mechanical rollers knead cellulite, warming skin to the point that fat particles disperse like a house party when the cops show up. Laser hair removal sources its strength from an equally deft Candela GentleYAG laser, which pinpoints follicles and shuts them down using focused heat.
At Yoga Club DFW, the instructors believe yoga is for everyone, and they prove it with classes that welcome all skill levels. Inclusive sessions include yoga for beginners and Near Life Experience, a 60-minute power Vinyasa class that detoxes as it energizes the body and mind. Aside from a variety of scalable yoga classes, instructors also provide nutritional advice and host workshops that can help students deal with the overwhelming joy that comes from being able to touch their toes.
Sandy, the owner of Choose Again Yoga, is used to heat. She spends most of her time in her 95-degree studio, stretching and bending through asanas with her students. Keeping most classes appropriate for beginners, she focuses on the healing qualities of yoga. Her series of poses, in addition to limbering up the body, releases toxins from tissues with a healthy sweat. Her favorite pose, however, remains the relaxing savasana, during which the yogi simply lays still on the floor while breathing deeply, allowing the mind to experience a sense of oneness with its environment.

Chris Harrison looked around at the people he knew and loved, and he didn't like the unhealthy bodies and lifestyles he saw. So, he made it his mission to reach out to as many people as possible and help them change. That was 10 years ago. Today, Chris still runs CrossFit 3816, having expanded his focus from his peers to families and clients of all ages. He goes out of his way to help moms, dads, and even children find a workout they can do together. The best part of his job is interacting with and motivating people from every walk of life, people of all body shapes and sizes. "[I'm] able to pull their best out of them," Chris says. "I always tell them, 'You're stronger than you think you are!'"
