Getting in shape after giving birth can be difficult; taking care of the baby takes a lot of time and leaves bodies weary and sapped of energy. Stroller Strides understands these common struggles and has designed exercise regimens with new mothers in mind. All you need to get started is you, your baby or someone else's baby, and a stroller. Classes, which are taught by specially trained instructors, take place outdoors most of the year and consist of a warm-up, a buggy-bandying power walk, and interval stations where participants do a variety of body-toning exercises. Musically enhanced indoor classes are also available if you'd rather spare your body and baby from winter's clammy clutches. Instructors provide everyone with any additional equipment and, in the event of a fussy-baby episode, will show you exercises you can do with your baby.
The nine licensed and passionate flight instructors at Middle River Aviation steer aspiring pilots through both a grounded aviation lesson and a midair experience in the blue yonder. Pupils remain bound to the ground for a half-hour session on flying fundamentals, including aircraft anatomy, safety protocols, and how to treat a bite from a cloud. Mentors then lead students to Middle River's fleet of Cessnas and other planes, which comprises one of the largest menageries of training aircrafts in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. For an additional 30 minutes, students hone their aerial navigation skills from the cockpit as they fly above Martin State Airport. The airport's functional control tower introduce students to flying into or out of any airport based on their brands of etiquette, ranging from takeoff and landing procedures to the regional guidelines for drag-racing against hawks.

The Strawberry Roth IRA and the Chocolate Tax Break are just two of the cocktails served at Finances Demystified happy hours, hosted by personal finance coach Dominique Broadway. During the events, also called "money parties," participants sip drinks and mingle, all while discussing personal finance issues and getting answers from experts that include realtors and entrepreneurs.
Dominique spent years at brokerage and personal finance firms, and her experience in money management goes back—way back. Even as a kid, she sold handmade bracelets to her friends and family, rather than just trading them for trendy pet rocks. Currently, Dominique strives to demystify the world of personal finance for the everyday person through her social finance events, which aim to break taboos around discussing money.
