The outdoor enthusiasts at Play Hard Niagara outfit visitors for romps on the water, beach, and street. Gear rentals ranging from sit-on-top kayaks to bikes equip explorers for adventures throughout the Port Colborne area, including trips along the old canal and Lake Erie shoreline. For a small fee, Play Hard's staff delivers equipment to nearby locations for full-day rentals. Back in Crystal Beach, the shop displays a multitude of recreational equipment, ranging from land-bound scooters to surf gear that stands ready to skim over a cresting wave or through layers of the upper atmosphere.
The University at Buffalo's Division I NCAA teams rally students for football at UB Stadium, basketball in the Alumni Arena, and a slew of other sports across their campus. Additionally, the Recreation & Intramural Services staff aim to supplement students' brain workouts and textbook bench presses with programs to keep their bodies running just as strong—and welcome community members to do the same. Exercise equipment fills indoor recreational facilities at the Alumni Arena and Clark Hall for those who prefer solo workout sessions, and group classes, such as biking and boot camp, get attendees into shape as they enjoy a communal atmosphere.
The aquatic-minded architects behind Fallsview Indoor Waterpark stocked their three-acre splash zone with family-friendly amusements that simulate the sun-soaked days of summer year-round. With both kids and adults in mind, the park's designers included two large, adults-only jacuzzis, where grownups can marinate in relaxation while the tots zip down 16 waterslides up to six storeys tall, or high enough to make Aquaman feel like a damp Godzilla. After the kids bodysurf in the wave pool or get caught in the deluge of the 1,000-gallon tipping bucket, families can refuel at Planet Hollywood Beach Club. Located across from Niagara Falls and near Hornblower Niagara Cruises, on the site of the Falls Avenue Resort, the waterpark, which has been named the top amusement park or water park in Canada by TripAdvisor this year, encourages families to retire to 20 acres of luxury for the night and return the next day to shake their fins beneath faux palm trees or traipse through Jungle Beach Playland, a dry indoor playground.
The friendly staff at Waterbike Adventures sets up visitors on pedal-powered watercraft to navigate the lengths of the Erie Canal while entertaining their eyes with scenic visuals. Spend an hour astride a pontoon water-bike and enjoy the experience of cycling without having to wear a helmet and street floaties. Each waterborne odyssey departs from the docks at the intersection where the Ellicott Creek feeds into the Erie Canal. Although not included with today's deal, the nautical outfitters also rent out kayaks and nine-passenger electric boats.

Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
The biggest reason most people don't succeed is not having all the tools to work with. Our Fitness Assessments with our highly qualified Personal Trainers will get a starting point for you by doing full measurements, [finding] body fat percentage, [and] calculating caloric needs and physical abilities. At this point we will be able to customize a personal plan for your success.
Besides working out, what else can clients do to spend their time at your facility?
After your workout relax by the pool or enjoy a sauna. Members are also welcome to bring families for a swim, as well.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
Energy Fitness Studio is also home of Niagara's only 10,000 square foot Obstacle Course Training Center, with two 10-fooft walls, sleds, tires, ropes, logs, and so much more.
Century Physio and Fitness combines the aerobics and group fitness classes of a traditional gym with access to physical therapy, chiropractic, and other rehabilitative treatments. Members burn calories during Zumba classes, or build muscle in boot camps or strength-training sessions with names such as Body Attack. Meanwhile, chiropractors adjust patients' bones and physiotherapists focus on soft tissues, which is a more effective way to remove pain than trying to scare it out by yelling "Boo!"
