Massage therapists, fitness instructors, and nutritional consultants join forces at Pocono Body Wellness Studio to promote holistic health in all its forms. Therapists de-stress musculature with acupuncture and numerous massage modalities, and ear-candling sessions can help relieve tension in sinuses, which cannot be massaged. Elsewhere in the studio, resident aestheticians further enhance bodies with facials, waxes, and mani-pedis. The staff makes frequent contributions to charities, donating 5% of the proceeds of every massage package they book to a children's hospital in Philadelphia.
Walking into Dr. Michael A. Esposito’s office, one of the first things patients see are the autographed astronaut photographs bedecking the walls. But among them, they can also spot some of the articles on cosmetic dentistry he’s penned for publications such as Contemporary Esthetics and Lifestyle. Although Dr. Esposito performs the full range of dental services, it’s in beautifying smiles where his skill really shines. Apart from whitening treatments and veneer procedures, he also performs laser gum contouring, which shapes gum lines with less trauma than a blade.
Part boutique, part 1940s-inspired beauty emporium, All Gussied Up channels the charm of yesteryear while offering modern types of treatments. In June of 2012, Kelly Pettis opened the summer- and retro-themed store. Inside, Kelly and her staff apply spray tans, whiten teeth, and apply permanent makeup. All Gussied Up also has a boutique that stocks swimwear, retail items, and denim from brands such as Steady Clothing, ChicStar, Despi, and Bombshell Bay. Shoppers can stop by on a Thursday evening for their special Un-Housewives Club monthly event.
Salon Di Panache's Victorian turrets and inviting, wraparound porch give way to a shabby-chic interior filled with glittery chandeliers and plush antique chairs. If it weren't for strategic swathes of leopard-print fabric and the beauty products lining the dark-wood bookshelves, it would be easy to mistake the space for some kind of time warp. Pati and Andy, Salon Di Panache's owners, intentionally built upon the vintage charm of the old house, redesigning its interiors with studded manicure tables and purple velour curtains to put clients at ease and make any nearby ghosts jealous. The duo leads a staff of stylists, nail technicians, massage therapists, and an aesthetician.
Stylists refurbish hair with single- and double-process color and a range of hair- and scalp-conditioning treatments. The aesthetician soothes skin with Aveda's plant-based facials, back facials, body polishes, and specialty treatments, such as a rosemary-mint body wrap. The salon's massage therapists also express creativity with massages that fuse hot stones and botanical essences, as well as the Panache signature massage, conducted atop a heated water table.
Having practiced dentistry for nearly 30 years, Dr. Robert Ruyak excels at delving into dentures, offering the latest toothcare techniques and carefully exercised services. During your visit, Dr. Ruyak will perform an exam to assess the state of your ivories before photographing them with state-of-the-art digital x-ray technology. Finally, to counter the teeth-yellowing effects of coffee, tobacco, and sucking on dandelions, the doctor will make impressions of your upper and lower chompers to create whitening trays. Used in conjunction with a specialized bleaching solution, the trays will allow customers to increase the brightness of their smiles in the comfort of their own home.
