Ruby's chefs pluck specialty pizzas and quesadillas hot from an authentic brick oven, in addition to slathering barbecue dishes with house sauce and grilling up steak and seafood entrees. Guests burst out of the barbecue gate with an appetizer of Ruby's smoked ribs, a hickory-smoked heap of pork crafted St. Louis style, piled into a delicately balanced arch. The Odyssey pizza rallies wine, artichokes, and greek olives on a field of mozzarella and feta for an epic journey to waiting mouths, and The Philly covers its sandwich-inspired disk with shaved steak, american cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Diners can summon an 8-ounce salmon fillet in a grilled, blackened, jerk, or citrus model perched across from two sides. For a more portable meat parcel, the pulled-pork sandwich stuffs its bun with saucy strips that have been smoked for 12 hours and trained to defend themselves from beef patties in martial combat.
Escaping the hustle and bustle of city life usually means hopping on a plane or driving until skyscrapers shrink into the horizon. Sandlot Sports & Entertainment strives to change all that. Their staff maintains recreational facilities where families can enjoy much-deserved getaways, just without all the traveling. During summer months, members spend time on Sandlot’s private, four-acre pond and beach area where they can avoid crowded city beaches and soak up alien messages coded into the sun's rays. Nearby, full-size football and soccer fields, baseball fields, and a performance stage play host to parties and special events. Sandlot uses those same venues during various children's camps throughout the summer, including musical theater camps and the popular Camp Sandlot—weeklong sessions of creative, educational, and athletic activities.
At Amesbury Sports Park, windswept passengers sail tubes down the snow-less summer lanes or, during winter, the powdery pathways of packed snow that dot hillsides of varying steepness. A conveyor belt swiftly returns them to the top of the hill in, where they can repeat the ride. During the summer, visitors can hop inside of one of Amesbury Sports Park's plastic spheres, to take what they call a zorb ride. Their outdoor event venue can accommodate up to 30,000 people, and has previously hosted events such as the Warrior Dash, the Spartan Race, and their annual Brewfest. An onsite restaurant refuels recreationers with tasty American fare, and also hosts regular wine dinners that often sell out in advance. The park also has a function hall available for private parties, and a full-service catering business with cuisine prepared by executive chef Kevin Jacques.
As the tanning bed's lid closes, a cool breeze starts to blow, a gentle mist cools your skin, and the scents of aromatherapy transform a 12-minute tanning session into a miniature vacation. This S-Class bed is just one of the approximately 10 tanning options that fill each of City Sun Tanning's locations. Staffers help clients select the right bed, leading them down hallways to an iBed sunbed—which features rotating facial lights—or a X-2 High Pressure bronzing stand-up, which can bronze pallid skin in ten minutes. Alternatively, visitors step onto the AutoBronzer's open-air platform, which evenly sprays UV-free tanning solution and candy sprinkles. In June of 2009, this sunless system caught the eye of New York Magazine, which lauded City Sun Tanning for having one of the "top five spray tans." The tanning salon has also garnered accolades from Citysearchers, who for several years, named it "Best of Citysearch".

Fuel Training Studio turns routine workouts into challenging tests of mettle, keeping muscles and minds engaged and healthy with one-on-one training or community-focused group classes. Cofounders Jeanne Carter and Julie Bokat, and their staff of eminently skilled trainers, educate pupils in their unique Fuel training method, which has been formulated through years of training and extensive certifications.
Fuel's philosophy focuses on helping clients through their everyday family life and activities by building functional strength—keeping muscles guessing with intense bursts of cardio and strength training that boost metabolism and efficiency. Clients enhance their muscle tone and agility with indoor barbell and heavy-bag boxing techniques, or practice mind-body awareness and flexibility with yoga or Versus cable-suspension training. Outdoor boot-camp classes combine strength, core-building, and cardio workouts into fun packages, allowing students to build rippling abdominal muscles while they admire waterfront scenery and challenge songbirds to wrestling matches.
