Divine Skin Care's licensed aesthetician, Debby Farley, has 30 years of industry experience, which she calls upon when administering chemical peels, facials, and skincare treatments that combat everything from acne to signs of aging. Facials bolster clients' complexions with nourishing blends of vitamins and hydrating treatments, and microdermabrasion treatments help stimulate collagen production and reduce wrinkles.
Sun Tan City's specially designed devices bathe bodies in an even, bronze glow. The tanning beds ($9-$34) apply a delicate balance of UVA and UVB rays to create the fun-in-the-sun look, with varying session durations depending on the bed's level of intensity -- fast, faster, fastest, or instant. The VersaSpa Sunless Tanning System ($34) can provide a natural, even-tonal transformation without the use of UV rays. Standing upright in the VersaSpa booth, your body will be gently misted with either a clear or bronze solution, which will then be combined with an anti-aging moisturizing skin treatment. Each booth is scientifically designed to provide a breathe-easy treatment and features an exhaust system to send the lingering mist out while sealing in skin's new shade. Finally, after a few minutes in the comfort air-dry system, your body will be dry to the touch.
The Toy Shop's founder, Lori, the proud mother of four daughters, has plenty of practice throwing entertaining birthday parties and shepherding excited kids through her neighborhood toy emporium. There, boys and girls of all ages delight at the shelves filled with Legos, kitchen and science kits, RC trucks, and stuffed animals. Four different playrooms entice the imaginations of kids with age-appropriate toys, including crafts, puzzles, and building sets for older kids, and cold-fusion playsets for toddlers up to three years old.
If you opt for the Tour of the City package, you'll take a tinting flight across each of Sun Tan City's bed levels (fast tan, faster tan, fastest tan, and instant tan) and one timely trip inside a VersaSpa sunless tanning booth, which provides a natural, even-tonal transformation. Clients can experience the five levels of the Tour of the City package in any order they wish. Standing upright in the VersaSpa booth, your body will be gently misted with either a clear or bronze solution, possibly combined with a dose of anti-aging formula or UV skin-defining maximizer. Each booth is designed to provide a breathe-easy session and features an exhaust system to send the lingering mist out while sealing in skin's new shade. After a few minutes, your body will be dry to the touch.
Earthly Roots Hair Studio owner Moira Brouillard's career was on a roll. After working for an Aveda Concept Salon in Atlanta, her styling work was featured in Lucky and Teen magazines––a stylist's dream come true. But then something strange happened. She found she was becoming extremely sensitive to hair products containing synthetic chemicals. Rather than let it deter her from her passion, she began researching alternatives, and the results were startling—roughly 95% of beauty products are composed of some form of toxic element. This led her to start her own hair studio. At Earthly Roots, clients can seek cut and coloring treatments with nontoxic and organic products, which employ herbs such as indigo and cassia rather than aggressive substances such as ammonia.
Madeline, better known as Maddy around The Skin Renewal Studio, has worked as a certified massage therapist and aesthetician since 1982. Her decades of experience with skin- and bodycare become obvious as she unfurls a range of beauty and massage services for clients. She uses bioelectric rejuvenation to erase fine lines and contour the skin during nonsurgical face-lifts; waxes unwanted hair from the face and body; and alleviates aches, pains, and stress with soothing deep-tissue, Swedish, and raindrop-therapy massage treatments.
Despite excelling in the world of beauty and massage therapy, Maddy has proudly declined to park herself on her laurels. Currently training to become a personal coach, she hopes to help clients cultivate a sense of inner strength by realizing what she’s known all along: beauty starts from the inside, but that doesn’t mean you should swallow makeup. Her studio even symbolizes this notion. The interior drips with aesthetic splendor in the form of hardwood floors, dark wooden tables, plush salmon-colored chairs, intricately patterned rugs, and plants and flowers.
