Studio 401 offers a variety of salon and spa services in an elegant studio space. Maintain your current coif or transmogrify your face frame with a hair wash, cut, and blow-dry or style (men's $20, women's $36). The Redken color specialists can also facilitate a chromatic transformation for the cuticles, using all-over hair coloring ($50) or a full foil highlight ($100). Smooth kinky locks with a keratin smoothing treatment (starting at $150), infusing hair with an over-protective protein layer that prohibits it from frizzing or flying away for up to five months. Have nails winterized with a manicure ($18) and spa pedicure ($40), finished off with your choice of a dazzling assortment of nail colors, or get your face ready for life outside your feverish cabin with a trio of precision aesthetician brow ($15), chin ($12), and upper-lip ($10) waxes.
Specialists in the delicate art of dry haircutting, the expert mane tamers at Arous Studio extend their follicular finesse to help calm frizzy head fluff with the help of professional straightening products. The Brazilian Blowout treatment uses a combination of essential nutrients, proprietary polymers, and photos of dry split ends to scare strands straight, eliminate frizz, and leave hair looking healthy and smooth.
With an artistic staff that works hard to master the latest beautification techniques, Shimmer Salon and Day Spa provides reservation-holding customers with a full crate of spa and salon services. Get your hair overhauled with a cut, shampoo, and style ($30–$40; longer or more intricate styles may cost more) from a stylist who understands how to make hair fit with eye color, personality, and social security number. Detoxify a face with a 60-minute classique facial ($70), which employs botanically-based skincare compounds to cleanse dirty mugs until they shine like much newer mugs. Various mani-pedis keep nails firmly attached, and a 60-minute Swedish massage ($70) will relax your body and help it deal with the stresses of raising a bat cub.

What’s your favorite part about your job?
My job is so personal. What other field of work can you go in and touch so many lives in a day? Knowing I can literarily make someone's day better by fixing a not-so-good haircut, or giving them the make over of their lives, is amazing. I believe it's one-hundred percent true that when you look good, you feel good—and when you feel good, you do good.
The interior of a business can affect how its customers feel. What kind of decor do you use to help make your clients feel pampered and at ease?
My salon is painted in a shade of lavender, which helps clients feel calm. All of our decor is classic yet vintage-inspired, and it includes lovely photos of our bridal clients on their wedding days.
What is one fun, unusual fact about your business?
We travel on-location to do a bride's hair and makeup on her wedding day.
