Trainer, groomer, and unabashed dog lover Jessica Edgerly has had a lifelong interest in animals. Among many career accomplishments, Malone's resumé includes several training certificates, but perhaps more relevant is the fact that she has seven dogs of her own. Her passion for all things pooch serves her well at Central K-9, where she and her staff provide a variety of services including daycare on a full- and half-day basis. They also offer grooming, obedience training, and, on Saturday mornings, socialization classes where groups of dogs gather to interact and trade tips for seducing fire hydrants.

Outfitted with a wide range of indoor and outdoor play areas, Furry Friends Daycare & Boarding takes animals of all shapes and sizes into its care. Thirty acres of rolling, grassy meadows provide ample space for equestrians and their mounts to learn, practice, and compete at Avon Valley Show Stables. Indoor and outdoor arenas light up at night, providing riders with an array of options of when and where to ride, no matter the season, weather, or time of day. Led by a team of accomplished trainers, lessons in the English Hunt Seat style of riding are offered to students of all ages, experience levels, and proximities to an original copy of Black Beauty. Children as young as 3 can climb into the saddle and get acquainted with the ins and outs of equestrianism, with the opportunity to even join the competitive team for kids in grades 6 through 12.
Recently appointed as the World Scholar-Athlete Games' 2011 Deputy Commissioner of Equestrian Activities by the Institute for International Sport, professional horsewoman Holly Thompson lends riders and their maned compatriots a wealth of stallion savvy on Equine Boulevard's sprawling 16-acre estate. Thompson and her staff provide a hay-scented potpourri of services, including riding lessons, training, equine appraisals, and witty narrations of The Lone Ranger screenplays. Equine Boulevard's facilities shelter four-legged clients in a barn replete with 12 climate-controlled stalls before hooves boisterously navigate indoor arenas, outdoor riding rings, and picturesque trails leading into nearby state forests.
Man's best friend isn't just a pet to the staff at this pup parlor, but a member of their client's family. As such, each canine is treated like a four-legged king and rewarded with luxuries ranging from spa appointments to birthday parties. At the pet "spaw", canines can bid adieu to excess fur with a grooming session or release stress from chasing their ever-elusive tails with a white-tea-and-vanilla bath. Though denied a driver's license by state law, furry pals can still get from point A to B with taxi services, which employ a van outfitted with special harnesses to shuttle dogs to their daycare or grooming sessions. The Good Dog Spot also boasts a small boutique stocked with pet food, collars, and treats from local New England manufacturers and trusted national brands.
