As the inaugural concert for the Roswell Presents: True Americana series, The Travelin' McCourys' fast-paced plucking skills tickle eardrums with traditional bluegrass sounds and innovative tone tinkering. Music mavens can cease pondering what whale songs would sound like with a proper complement of backup singers, turning to the authentic sounds of a quartet comprised of mandolin strummer Ronnie McCoury, banjoist Rob McCoury, fiddle player Jason Carter, and upright-bass spinner Alan Bartram. Twenty years on the road have led to celebrated live collaborations with the Allman Brothers, Phish, and Warren Haynes, as well as many acts in and out of the bluegrass community. The group plucks their way through acoustic and sometimes electric performances, treating listeners to inventive experiments that may result in discoveries of new instruments more exciting than the keytar or acoustic stapler. Special guests The Packway Handle Band strum energetic, alternative bluegrass as well.

Psychedelic lighting, clouds of fog, and thumping beats fill Laser Tag of Buford’s 7,000-square-foot, two-level arena. From behind rectangular obstacles and stacks of barrels, up to 28 players dodge incoming laser blasts while firing at foes during battles that commence every 20 minutes. Throughout each bout, computerized weapons and sound system¬–equipped vests help participants stay abreast of their score, while a large scoreboard updates sideline observers and astronauts watching from space. After their game, guests can explore the facility’s remaining 4,000 square feet, which house an arcade with more than 20 games and a concession stand stocked with snacks and drinks.

Referred to as the "fastest-growing pro sports league in the nation" by NBC Sports correspondent Rick Chandler, the Lingerie Football League energizes audiences by pitting two exclusively female teams in alluring uniforms against each other for a chance to participate in Lingerie Bowl IX. On October 21, the ferocious Tampa Breeze takes on the Cleveland Crush, a team known for intensely tackling opponents and pulverizing grapes into wine while running in place. Equipped with football pads, leg garters, and one canister of catcall repellent, the athletes prove their power during each exciting full-contact game of pigskin.
