On all outings, hikers nosh on gourmet fare such as cheese and sausage plates and upscale trail mix, rather than the original trail mix, assorted gravel. Frank has deepened his knowledge with extensive travel throughout the Napa and Sonoma valleys, studying under master winemakers such as James Allen of Sequoia Grove Vineyards. Novice vintners delve into every aspect of the process, including pressing fresh grapes from California, Chile, Italy, and Argentina, racking in oak barrels, and bottling with custom-made labels.

Manasquan Water Taxi is a 40-foot riverboat. The wide, low-riding vessel has an open-air deck shaded by a canopy, and colored light from neon signs casts a glow on the water’s ripples. The water taxi cruises at up to 25 miles per hour, ferrying riders between bars and restaurants, to islands, beneath fireworks, and over any wimpier boats in its way. A sound system turns the boat into a floating boom box, and riders can drink at the full bar onboard and nibble hot dogs and subs.

Established in 1998, Cornucopia Cruise Line's three ships transport guests along the New York City harbor or the inland waterways along the New Jersey and Staten Island shorelines.
