Yoga is taught alongside Pilates and cycling classes and holistic-wellness-boosting massage services. Students attend Pilates and yoga classes in a peaceful practice space where natural light streams in the windows onto burnished wood floors. Beginner-level classes cater to newbies, and instructors can modify moves to help students to work through poses at their own pace. Cycling classes meet in their own maroon-colored studio, where they recreate tough road conditions by adding resistance to mimic hills, speed for sprints, and duck crossings to test each bike’s brakes. The studio’s seven-day schedule includes morning, afternoon, and evening classes.
Club Fitness tones and pampers bodies with group training, personal training, and tanning services, earning the Best of Gloucester County award in 2013 for its fitness center and gym. The 15,000-square-foot club spans two floors partitioned into dedicated rooms for cardio, Group X, and spinning, as well as a fitness floor lined with Hammer Strength, Cybex, Precor, Star Trac, and Life Fitness equipment. Raquel Gleason discovered her calling while dealing with her mother’s battle with breast cancer. She enlightened her mother and others about the physical and mental benefits of exercise, benefits Raquel experienced herself after Pilates helped correct her spine and foot issues. Today, certified in such skills as personal training, Pilates, CPR, and first aid, Raquel runs Rebel Pilates, where she leads private and group sessions in Reformer Pilates, step-board dance, and barefoot Bhangra (Bollywood) Indian dance. By exposing clients to Pilates and dance, Raquel strives to impart total-body balance, which could previously only be achieved by a steady diet of gyroscopes.
