Yuen Lui Studios, a family-owned photography business specializing in individual and family portraits and wedding photography, creates photographic heirlooms in a tradition of quality it has upheld since 1947. With several area Yuen Lui studios available, each boasts a multitude of backdrop options for portraiture sessions, or photographers may take sessions outdoors to add natural scenery to the frame. Wedding and engagement shots come to life under the careful eyes of each photographer as they seize rare moments and trap them in frames to be displayed like trophies from a hunt. High-school, child, baby, and family portraits keep precious memories locked in time for clients, who can peruse an online gallery of their images after their session.
Drawing upon 15 years of experience—including time spent as a photojournalist and an army reconnaissance photographer—Jonathan Heppner passed his photographic passion onto his pupil, Trina. Their love of pictures is only rivaled by their love of one another; nearly three years after marrying, the two joined forces to create the award-winning PS Photography & Video.
A finalist and runner-up for photography and videography, respectively, on the most recent KING5 Best of Western Washington list, the duo has captured the happiest moments of brides and grooms at hundreds of weddings in western Washington and southern California. A graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, Jonathan can add extra coverage by filming everything from save the date videos and nuptials to grandma’s dirty-limerick-filled toast at the reception.
Maternity, family, and portrait photography fills the duo's other sessions, which they hold on-location at their favorite outdoor spots or locales preferred by their clients, or at their studio 10 minutes north of downtown Seattle. The two also engage in their own very different specialties; Jonathan channels his love of animals during pet photography sessions, and Trina snaps sultry images of female clientele during boudoir shoots.
Located on State Route 99 in Lynnwood, The UPS Store's obliging staff and reputation for reliable package conveyance attracts all types of packers, shippers, and printers. Packers regularly stop in for masking-tape rolls and other do-it-yourself supplies. Alternatively, senders can enlist the skillful packing of the store's staffers, who will deftly seal boxes and cushion contents with bubble wrap or styrofoam peanut-butter sandwiches. In addition packaging services and supplies, such as moving boxes, the knowledgeable shippers proffer printing services for large-quantity flyer makers and mailbox rentals for lazy messenger pigeons. For more than 100 years, UPS's recognizable brown trucks have been showing up on doorsteps in a timely fashion; each independently owned UPS Store location abides by the company's rigorous cargo standards and solemn Pack & Ship Promise.
Countless do-it-yourself projects would never have seen the light of day were it not for Aurora Rents—gardens would remain untended, furniture unsanded, bedrooms unpainted. Luckily, the locally owned and operated business has rented tools and equipment—all properly cared for—to northwestern craftspeople for 50 years. Equally as vital, each employee carries industry expertise around in his or her tool belt, and delights in providing insights, safety tips, and techniques for refinishing floors or shellacking homemade Trojan horses.
