With more than 10,000 square feet of training space and 6,000 items available in its pro shop, Bases Loaded supplies baseball and softball enthusiasts with all the practice and gear they need for success on the diamond. Players 6 to adult can hone their swats within air-conditioned batting cages fortified with pitching machines by ATEC, Beta, and Iron Mike, each a high-grade mechanical hurler that never misses a throw or sets a bad example by chewing motor oil. Elsewhere in the facility, 2,000 square feet of free weights and conditioning equipment help athletes optimize their bodies’ performance, and a snack bar replenishes burnt calories. Surrounded by flat-screen televisions, a sitting area offers a place to rest.
The retail shop at Bases Loaded stocks a huge inventory of gear by top-name brands. Full sets of catcher's gear come with free pairs of knee protectors, and adult bats by Louisville Slugger, Rawlings, DeMarini and Easton help batters better point out airplanes flying over the outfield wall.
Whether by land, water, or skee-ball chute, Zuma Fun Center packs attractions that entertain family members of all ages. Siblings enjoy friendly competition while trading putts across mountain-adventure mini-golf courses lined with waterfall, or while trading paint around the corners of the outdoor go-kart track. The bumper-boat pool gives parents and kids the chance to ram repeatedly into one another in open waters, just like the pilgrims did when racing to discover America. The fun center's video arcade also draws guests inside to deposit tokens into air-hockey tables, redemption-ticket games, and a spread of classic and new game cabinets.
At Baseball USA, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, baseball isn't just a game; it's also a way to give back and teach kids about teamwork and discipline. So it's a good thing the center's more than 12 instructors are so thorough, covering everything from base running to outfield defense at their manicured 35-acre complex, which includes a 40,000-square-foot indoor facility and 16 batting tunnels. This comprehensive preparation pays off when players take to one of the center's 11 fields, each of which is available for rental by teams or individuals for practice or as part of a tournament. Visitors can also hit up the pro shop or practice on their own by stepping into the batting cages, where they refine their swings by smacking the baseballs and softballs machines fire at them.
Advantage Baseball provides players with 12,000 square feet of indoor training space and year-round conditioning opportunities. The facility boasts seven instructional cages, which can be shared by batters, pitchers, coaches, and coaches wearing mascot heads. In Advantage Baseball's four machine cages, balls zoom over home plate at speeds that range between 45 mph and 70 mph. The indoor training academy's staff, which includes former MLB players, also leads instruction for baseball, helping teams and individuals develop new strategies and improve their techniques.
Spread across 5 acres of indoor and outdoor facilities, Pitch Putt & Play summons friendly competition with miniature golf, batting cages, arcade games, and a host of other all-ages attractions. During the summer months, a bumper-boat pond equips pintsize sea captains with their own water-cannoned battleship, and other outdoor attractions, such as the water-balloon launcher, keep visitors cool. Indoors, the concession stand refuels guests with fresh-baked pizzas and snacks, and arcade machines eat their own pizzas in the form of metal tokens.
