To Andrew Ecker, drumming isn't just the act of keeping a beat. He's facilitated drum circles for more than 17 years, experiencing firsthand the benefits of expressing oneself through the ancient art of rhythm. Through his Circle of Choice, for instance, Andrew supplies young people with a supportive outlet to express feelings about schoolyard bullying and violence. He creates a similarly safe space for wounded veterans at Circle of Warriors sessions, where vets can work through issues such as post-traumatic-stress disorder These only skim the surface of Andrew's work through Drumming Sounds, which hosts other wellness-focused drum circles at various hospitals and team-building events.

Byron Nemeth remembers hearing The Beatles for the first time when he was 5; from then on, he's been a music fanatic and musician himself. Byron has recorded extensively, including with members of the Steve Vai band and others, and his own band, Sacred Heart, played the likes of New York City's famous club, CBGB, and, though he's moved to the west coast, he continues to create music. From his new hub, he also teaches students who, like his younger self, want to learn guitar.

Each of the guitar coaches at American Guitar Academy are certified in the school’s signature teaching method. Developed over 25 years, this house-honed instruction technique incorporates scientific research to help fingers learn to shred frets up to eight times faster than alternative methods. During private half-hour lessons, instructors guide budding rock stars aged 4 years and up through the basics of strumming chords and seamlessly stitching together riffs. These comprehensive lessons on classical, electric, or acoustic guitars are offered once a week with a live instructor or online and guarantee that students will be playing their favorite music within six months of training. Students may begin lessons without owning a guitar, but are encouraged to gain access to one quickly for mastering scales and the ability to solo with their teeth.

For guitarists and bassists of all ages and skill levels, the studio's teachers incorporate music theory into lessons built around reading music or learning favorite songs. And those tunes aren't limited to the ones on the radio—besides rock, Hammeron's teachers specialize in a range of styles such as jazz, country, metal, and blues. Sitting behind a kit for the first time, a beginner drummer only knows how to beat away. But at Hammeron Music, instructors help drummers master the subtle art of accompanying other musicians, as well as other pertinent skills such as sight-reading and improvisation.

Along with lessons, Hammeron Music stocks its showroom with guitars for purchase, it staffs technicians who can fix malfunctioning instruments and amps, and it rents its recording studios to musicians looking to cut demos or full albums.
