Founded by experienced stylist and The Fashion Institute of Los Angeles graduate Kelly K. Wilcox, My Style Advisory helps solve the perennial question of "what should I wear?" Rather than bulldozing over their clients' current tastes, she and her fellow stylists aim to make small changes with big impact. They'll work with clients to purge their closets of unflattering pieces, organize clothes, and find styles that fit and flatter their body shapes. They can even head out on shopping trips to fill in wardrobe gaps with essentials such as stylishly casual pieces or sombreros.
Closet and storage specialist Carey is a marvel of organization. At the sight of clutter, she switches on her left brain and begins dividing, categorizing, and filing away clothing, boxes, and other items in a logical order.
During closet-cleaning services, she removes everything from the closet and lays it out in front of clients. Closet owners then thumbs-down any inessential things they want to discard. Carey takes what’s left and files it away, pointing out how much extra space they’ve created. She finishes by bagging discarded items and donating them, mailing clients a donor receipt for tax deductions or for hanging on the wall as a warning to other unwanted stuff.

On May 8, harness the subtle power of Indian spices to create tandoori shrimp, curried salmon with cinnamon rice and golden raisins, and warm rice pudding; or craft the perfect wine appetizers (you'll make five), like scallop ceviche with melon and red-onion asparagus quesadillas, on May 22. You'll eat everything you make and get a beverage, so no one escapes hungry. Classes are limited to 18 people, so when you find the apple class of your human eye, call to schedule before it fills up.
