Determined to keep their students interested and engaged, the instructors of Wine and Palette hold classes at myriad locations throughout the city. Each class focuses on a different art piece, be it a painting of a stained-glass window, a multihued owl, or an autumn farm scene. Additionally, each artist brings their own outlook and skills to the class, helping students learn specific brush strokes and how to touch up their daily driver so it looks just like the sheriff?s squad car.

At a time when many schools around the country are forced to cut back on art programs, Abrakadoodle has emerged to fill the empty creative space left behind. The studio began in 2002, when founders Mary Rogers and Rosemarie Hartnett set out to unify proven educational methods with kid-friendly art instruction. By opening Abrakadoodle, the duo wanted youngsters to experience one of the most rewarding aspects of art: having fun.

Today, Mary and Rosemarie’s vision has developed to include mobile programs that expand imaginations across the United States, as well as studios stationed throughout the world. With guidance from Abrakadoodle’s certified teachers, adults or students aged 20 months to 14 years practice various means of self-expression during painting, drawing, sculpting, and design classes. While developing new skills and keeping the stain-remover industry in business, pintsize Picassos explore their own talents and learn about professional artists. Abrakadoodle keeps all of its class sizes small and caters to students of any skill level.

Painting A Night Out hosts guided painting events lasting 2–3 hours, accented by beverages and camaraderie, at different venues around Oklahoma City. Artists of all skill levels can perch in front of a provided canvas, and then follow the lead of an instructor demonstrating how to reproduce a featured painting. Attendees may also choose to add personal tweaks to the imagery or work on a completely independent design. Subject matter constantly changes but often includes colorful tree silhouettes, still lifes with wine, flowers, and sunset scenes that look like sunrise scenes when held upside down.

All materials are provided, including canvases, paint, aprons, and brushes. While friends or couples can arrive hand in hand and enjoy a group night out, solo artists are equally encouraged to mingle and acquire new acquaintances.

Ever since he was 17, Sterling Wilson has been inseparable from his clarinet. When the master's candidate isn't busy performing with orchestras or in grad classes with New York Philharmonic members, he shares his woodwind passion with his Oklahoma City Clarinet Studio students. Drawing on material for his own in-progress method book, Sterling walks players of all ages through the fundamentals of the instrument, starting with how to put one together. After mastering scales and reading music, pupils advance to more challenging material, such as solo pieces or playing three clarinets at once. They can showcase those newfound skills at the studio's recitals, which Sterling holds for his students' friends and family twice a year.

For 22 years, the Oklahoma School of Bartenders has instructed up-and-coming mixologists in the art of pouring drinks and managing the masses. The school’s classroom mimics a real bar, with shelves of liquor, vital tools, and three guys trying to beat the record on Deer Hunter at pupils’ disposal. Students get behind the bar to practice shaking and stirring under the careful supervision of teachers, all of whom have been training bartenders since 1988. Afterward, a job-placement program helps newly certified students land drink-slinging positions.

Pirates Cove Scuba's certified instructors imbue beginning or advanced pupils with the requisite knowledge and techniques for plunging beneath aquatic surfaces and stock a full selection of dive equipment to help them to breathe easier while below. After briefings expound on what participants should expect when underwater, one-hour introductory courses gradually familiarize students with navigating H2O while wearing scuba gear before they explore the unseen depths and sunken pool-noodle wrecks of Pirates Cove Scuba's pool.

Open-water certifications expand on introductory knowledge with further classroom and pool study. Full-certification-seekers conclude schooling during scheduled weekend lake trips, which include four dives in open-water environments that, if properly performed, earn former novices final certification and congratulatory smooches from impressed catfish. To keep divers submerging in style, Pirates Cove Scuba carries equipment from Dive Rite, Henderson, and Seadive, which aquanauts can don on trips to Cozumel and other tropical destinations booked through the dive shop's travel desk.
