In support of her high-decibel new album, Rihanna kicks off her hotly anticipated LOUD tour with emphatic gusto and a sizzling roster of special guests. Like an art show at a sundae bar, the LOUD tour floods the senses, enchanting audiences with lavishly designed sets, myriad costume changes, move-busting dancers, and Rihanna's songbook of Grammy magnets. Crooner Cee Lo Green augments the songful offerings with his own vocal talents, and Roc Nation rapper and rhythm scientist J. Cole further helps resuscitate ear drums traumatized by the outside world's blaring car horns and shrill howler monkeys.

For more than 15 years, the Reading Comedy Outlet has been busting guts with its weekly slate of up-and-coming laugh larks and old-hand guffaw gurus. Arrive early on a Friday or Saturday evening to stake a prime plot of side-splitting real estate for comic concerts including Vancouver chuckle-chucker Phil Hanley on April 15 and 16, and the two-for-one combo of headliners Davin Rosenblatt and Cal Verduchi in late April. Ticket prices average between $13 and $14 per person. While not included in today's Groupon, the Alley Oops Sports Pub cooks up a full menu that includes sandwiches, funnel-cake fries, and slushies mixed with the flavorful tears of sad clowns.

Every week, Magooby's schedule features established national headliners, including comedians featured on Letterman, The Tonight Show, and Comedy Central. Although many of the comedians featured have made nationally televised appearances, you needn't worry about two of them getting into an onstage fight over contractual issues or comedic supremacy. Magooby's is a down-to-earth comedic facility. In fact, it's so down-to-earth that it's in a root cellar. The parking is free, and guests are encouraged to show up prior to showtime and enjoy a drink—no waiting in a cramped space or standing outside required. If you do want to stand outside, be sure to wear moon shoes.
