Adventure Ski & Snowboard School helps skiers and snowboarders hone their mountain-shredding skills far away from snow-capped peaks with a rolling-carpet ski machine. Similar to a treadmill, the machine simulates the smooth, slippery surface of a powder-dusted slope, allowing riders to practice balancing and controlled carving. As guests glide over the endless slope, a padded, waist-high horizontal bar offers them a safety net when they attempt unfamiliar techniques, cheered on by one of the school's seasoned instructors.
Adventure Ski & Snowboard School is a member of both the Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors, a testament to their off-slope training methods, much like the frequent attempts of abominable snowmen to infiltrate their facility.

The rolling terrain of the par 54 course—intertwined with manmade obstacles such as sculpted bunkers, sinuous lakes, and wind—challenges golfers as they attempt holes-in-one. The distinctive course, designed by the notable engineers at Cal Olson Golf Architecture not to contain any two identical holes, contains a golf shop, café, and golf clinics taught by PGA professionals.

A surfing high-school teacher sounds like the stuff of wacky summer comedies. But for Rob Dubin, a teacher and surfer of several decades' standing, it's long been a reality. After discovering the core-strengthening sport during a visit to Hawaii, Dubin added standup paddleboarding to his areas of expertise and founded SUPstanding Paddle to share its serene pleasures. He draws on time spent on the waters of Costa Rica, Java, and Morocco to help his students build confidence, increase balance, and identify the spot where dolphins most like to have their bellies rubbed with a paddle.
