Each two-hour seminar sharpens general awareness of surroundings and zeroes in on deterring and disabling larger assailants. Upon completion of the class, students walk away with bottles of pepper spray, certificates, and greater self-assurance.
Trainers designed House of Ryu to be a mecca for athletes interested in fitness and martial arts. Inside the 20,000-square-foot gym is housed custom equipment such as a 65’x35’ mat for muay thai, boxing, and standup fighting, and a 24’x24’ regulation-sized boxing ring. On the mats, trainers guide students in various martial-arts and fitness disciplines including Alliance muay thai, Kevin Randleman’s Monster Wrestling, jujitsu, boxing, muay boran, strength and conditioning, fitness camp, and cardio boxing and kickboxing.
Aluja Bramble, the founder of Cardio Kings Fitness Boxing, has more than 30 years of experience with fitness and boxing. The son of WBA Lightweight Champion Livingstone “Pit-Bull” Bramble, Aluja has trained with renowned boxing greats such as Janks Morton and Jacob “Stitch” Duran, and he designed the program at Cardio Kings to use boxing principles to help inspire athletes to stay healthy. Aluja's group classes and one-on-one sessions focus on health and conditioning as athletes burn calories with a mixture of aerobic exercises, bag drills, and pad work.
The experienced Sensei Sandoval runs the show at Ageless Shotokan Karate, where he welcomes women, men, and children to learn martial arts. Shotokan karate classes teach kids the fundamentals of the sport and help adults improve fitness, confidence, and self-defense skills. In addition to karate, students can take kickboxing, dedicated self-defense, and even Zumba classes.
Under the direction of Master Leland Brandon, Brandon's ATA helps students of all ages hone their martial-arts skills. Master Brandon has practiced Tae Kwon Do for decades, so long that he's watched as his students opened schools of their own.
