The instructors at Pendleton Pilates’ four locations teach 125 classes each week, showing students how to elongate and strengthen their muscles on mats, inflatable exercise balls, and the studio’s reformer machines. During each group or private session, instructors customize workouts that use a rotating selection of 500 core-focused movements developed by Joseph Pilates in 1945. Additional classes include sessions in which students use parallel ballet barres while performing Pilates exercises, as well as spinning classes at the Westchester location.

Many symphony orchestras take themselves very seriously. And while Kentucky Symphony Orchestra is consummately professional, they also regale audiences with unconventional performances that may involve silent films, comedians, country bands, and Civil War–battle reenactments, a formula that has worked for the past 21 seasons.
The firefighters of Engine Company #45 Firehouse extinguished their last blaze in 1962 after 56 years of fearless public service. Although the team dissipated, the elegant, 1906 firehouse—with Renaissance Revival details and three doors wide enough to accommodate horse-drawn fire engines—remained, languishing as a city storehouse until 1980, when the Fire Museum of Greater Cincinnati moved in. The building was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places and filled with special exhibits acknowledged by Fox19.com and 365 Things to do in Cincinnati. It was also filled with antique firefighting gear that is in excellent condition in spite of years of smoke inhalation.
The collection reveals early 19th-century firefighting tactics with an alarm drum that once warned of fire from the roof of a carpenter shop and was later used to provide rhythm during disco infernos. In the Safe House exhibit, families diagram their homes and create personalized emergency plans while learning tips about fire prevention.
Strikes and Spares keeps its bowling old school—clean, family-friendly, and free of self-throwing balls. Kids can shed their superabundant energy while bowling or playing arcade games whilst you warm up with a game of pool or darts (trying to combine them is strongly discouraged). With your Groupon, three games of bowling will give you ample time to perfect your form and wipe that smile off the boss's face that you painted on each of the pins.
Director Indu Bala Bhardwaj of It's Yoga uses her nearly four decades of experience to guide a team of skilled yoga practitioners as they help pupils achieve holistic harmony and physical relaxation with a daily schedule of Vinyasa, Hatha, and Ashtanga yoga classes. The studio‘s brick walls, lilac accents, and carpeted floors envelop aspiring yogis as they employ measured breathing techniques to fluidly vogue through an exhilarating series of Ashtanga and Hatha poses during Vinyasa Flow 1 classes. Integral Yoga guides students through chanting and meditative breathing exercises to ease mental and physical tension; Anusara Yoga gently lengthens limbs to correct posture and spinal alignment for students recovering from injuries or chronic bouts of noodlebones. During challenging Hot Yoga classes, students work their muscles and sinews through a set of limbering asana poses in a heated room, which helps facilitate flexibility and prevent students from confusing the mountain pose with the frigid ski-slope pose.
