In addition to leading group fitness classes, the instructors can map out training and nutrition plans to help clients meet their fitness goals. The sessions can include climbing the gym's rock wall to build lean muscle mass or demolishing the gym's rock wall to prepare for a career as a bulldozer.
The corporal coaches at CrossFit from the Ashes lead individual or small-group sessions composed of heart-pumping cardio and strength-training routines. Designed around the 10 cornerstones of physical health, CrossFit training enhances the heart’s ability to tick and strengthens various muscle groups for improved flexibility, agility, and bear-wrestling skills. Weightlifting gracefully converges with nimble gymnastic movements and fast-paced cardio throughout each session, with instructors guiding clients through circuits of drills, such as back extensions followed by rowing or push-ups and sit-ups complemented by sprints. Athletes complete each session within the confines of CrossFit’s spacious warehouse gym that was initially zoned for painting to-scale models of Manhattan. Currently sessions are scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during the afternoon and evening.
