When Max Schneiderman began his family’s business, it was a grocery store first and foremost. Then Schneiderman’s began to carry a few furniture items and slowly these grew to overshadow the cans of soup and produce until the furnishings finally swallowed the foodstuffs whole.
Now, Schneiderman's Furniture has spread from the Iron Range to spots throughout the Twin Cities. The showrooms stock local and foreign furniture from more than 100 manufacturers. Many items in stock can be customized in color and texture to match a homeowner's current obsession with plastic flamingos.

After his security team escaped unscathed from an attack during a refueling mission, AJ Reyer received an ARCOM medal with valor from the US Army. He served eight years, during which he flexed his teaching muscles by training 140 soldiers in convoy security. When AJ returned home in 2004, he became a law-enforcement officer, patrolling Minnesotan streets and eventually joining the department's SWAT team.
He channels these experiences into classes at Protection and Security Services. While his beginning students learn gun safety and shooting techniques, his advanced pupils participate in real-life SWAT training scenarios that incorporate room clearing, hands-on self-defense, and firing airsoft replica handguns while moving. AJ also teaches private classes on a limited basis.
Drafts of cool air usually clue homeowners in to air leaks around windows or doors. But larger, more problematic air leaks may be hidden in attics, basements, ductwork, and crawlspaces, leaching the efficiency of heating and cooling systems. Elite Energy Efficiency's experienced, BPI-certified technicians find the leaks during home energy audits, which they conduct using diagnostic tools such as infrared cameras. Techs can then seal the leaks with caulk, spray foam, and weather stripping. These services reduce energy bills and may qualify clients for further rebates from energy companies.
