At Twisted Scissors, a team of experienced, inventive stylists and aestheticians helps clients sculpt new hair styles, smooth out faces, and polish nails. Clients can revitalize locks with protein-infused conditioning treatments, prepare for special events with makeup analyses and applications, or exfoliate and nourish their skin with vitamin C and glycolic facials.
A self-styled "rock star salon," Twisted Scissors helps clients make bold, expressive choices with their hair, enlivening tresses with bright streaks of highlight or eye-popping all-over color.

Certain hairstyles look good on certain facial shapes. When a client asks for a haircut you know will be a mismatch for them, how do you handle it?
I tactfully guide them to a choice that will flatter them more, maybe using some of the elements they like about the other style.
For many people, a trip to the salon is a way to enjoy some "me time." What supplemental courtesies do you offer to make guests feel relaxed?
I offer my clients cold drinks, and I can also do makeup, mani-pedis, and scalp massages if they schedule them in advance.
Beauty by Brit is a private full-service salon within Phenix Salon Suites. Unable to imagine herself doing any other job, hairstylist Brittany Miller loves working with hair and provides haircuts and rich color and conditioning treatments with Redken products. In her intimate salon space, she shows an expert hand with everything from men's haircuts to sun-kissed highlights streaked into locks.
A portrait of Audrey Hepburn throwing a flirtatious look over her shoulder sets the scene in this two-chair suite, where stylist Mary Boswell aims to make every client feel like a star. In character as Holly Golightly, Hepburn appears with the iconic chignon and highlights—a look Mary herself can replicate with updos and color treatments.
Applauze Salon is an upscale and chic environment with a team of expert hair artists. Skilled in the creation of cutting edge, classic, and Albert Einstein–inspired haircuts, these stylists use high-quality products from L'Oreal and Moroccan oil. While primarily a place to get one's hair trimmed, Applauze also offers facial services.
Purelux Hair Salon owner and stylist Brittany Amos has been cutting and coloring hair since the tender age of 12, but it wasn't until she was 19 that her career really took off. She landed a job at a prominent salon in Cherry Creek, where seasoned hairdressers taught her how to craft stunning cuts and impart brilliant color through their mentorship and hands-on training. The training was so effective that she almost became an instructor herself, but decided her learned hands were best suited to transforming appearances than typing lesson plans. Today, she calls on those skills to helm her own salon.
She calls on Wella and Goldwell Elumen products to alter the hue of hair, and the service menu catalogs waxing, makeup, and nailcare services in addition to haircare. The salon itself brims with feminine flourishes—a black-and-white image of Audrey Hepburn alludes to the idea of classic beauty, and a miniature chandelier hung from the ceiling alludes to the idea of elf prom.
