Under the supervision of Marino Salon and Spa Laser Clinic's medical doctor, licensed laser technicians and aestheticians James and Veronika Marino use their 18 years plus of experience to bring clients a menu of services. Veronika, the lead licensed aesthetician, runs the spa side of the business, welcoming clients into her private spa room for anti-aging treatment facials, acne treatment facials, laser services, and makeup services featuring ID Bare Minerals products. James, a certified laser technician, permanently removes hair from the faces and bodies of both men and women. When not working one-on-one with clients, Veronika and James host educational events in the spa, where they teach the importance of avoiding toxins and maintaining a healthy skin regime.
The staffers at Good For You Massage & Day Spa invite clients to unwind inside their colorful, private treatment rooms with a lineup of facials, body services, and rejuvenating massages. Massage therapists demonstrate the spa’s personal approach by consulting with clients before administering any of their signature massages, such as Swedish, deep-tissue, or hot-stone massage. While their skilled hands mend tense and sore muscles, therapists maintain constant communication with the client to make sure that the pressure feels comfortable. The list of facials wards off environmental hazards with a variety of ingredients, including organic ground coffee to exfoliate rough skin and wake up clients who fall asleep during their pampering sessions.
More than 20 years after opening as a two-room massage clinic, Massage For Health and Day Spa has blossomed into a full-service aesthetic center whose custom treatments still revolve around therapeutic modalities. Each member of the 15-person staff masters a specific soothing discipline, from licensed massage practitioners to professional manicurists to two aestheticians whose voices sound like the beach. Massage therapists blend essential oils to please noses and achieve specific health goals during the signature aromatherapy massage. Treatments draw from Western and Eastern philosophies to bolster therapies with enhancements such as collagen masks or Thai herbal massage balls.
Licensed chiropractor Dr. Grace Ndirangu and her support staff help clients purge their bodies of stress and muscular tension as they repose atop touch-free HydroMassage beds. Fingers navigate the intuitive touchscreen to control pressure and speed and isolate ailing areas and bombard them with soothing bursts of water. The jets gush against the underside of the bed's mattress, meaning clients stay dry and need not remove clothing, jewelry, or novelty mustaches. During the massage, guests can listen to music, watch videos housed in the attached computer, or let minds roam free through subconscious pastures laden with easily counted sheep and the lyrics to every No. 1 Billboard hit since 1978.
Before he was an acupuncturist, Dr. Kay Kim was a soldier in the US Army. While he was serving, he underwent back surgery and experienced a speedy and complete recovery that he attributes to acupuncture. The experience piqued his interest in the craft, and when he left the military, he studied acupuncture at LA's Dong Guk University. Nowadays, at Northwest Wellness and Covington Family Wellness, he specializes in acupuncture without needles as well as classic physical acupuncture with hair-thin needles.
RedWoods Salon & Spa’s staff members aren't just concerned with how their clients look after a session with them. They know that making their clients feel welcome, pampered, and relaxed is as important as making them look beautiful. To that end, they perform a range of services from hair coloring and weaves to massages and professional makeup. RedWoods' stock of beauty products keeps clients looking good, even if the butterfly dreaming about their existence is having a nightmare. The salon itself exudes tranquility, with red- and green-accent walls complementing brown earthen hues and floor-to-ceiling windows.
