An 1872 Victorian home sets the stage for Simply Sweet Shoppe's misty, nostalgic world of handmade chocolate truffles, bulk bins full of colorful candies, and the smell of freshly baked cookies, muffins, and scones. Displays of ten-cent candies and retro sweets evoke the image of a simpler time, when men still wore hats and "horse chestnuts" was still considered a curseword. Guests dine on savory panini sandwiches on the sunny patio, or sip cups of Hubbard & Cravens coffee as they admire the gift baskets and confectioneries from local candysmiths such as Indiana Artisans. The array of goodies satisfies any sweet tooth, whether it desires the cold creamy texture of gelato and sorbets, the frozen fruitiness of smoothies, or the wholesome sweetness of fresh baked goods.

The talented pastry chefs at Holy Cow consistently create batches of bliss-inducing indulgences for the cupped-cake-loving public. The menu changes constantly, but perennial flavors, such as a traditional vanilla birthday cake topped with fudge frosting and sprinkles and a luscious red velvet cake with vanilla cream cheese frosting, are available every day. Featuring seven to 10 flavors per day, the ensemble cast includes the Clarence (a lemon cake with lemony cream cheese frosting), the cookies and cream, and the gingerbread. The popular maple bacon is a satiating treat of maple cake with bits of bacon scattered gracefully atop a pillow of maple cream cheese icing. Eggnog, mint julep, and Guinness are also available during designated seasons.

The rotating flavors of yogurt dispensed from the taps at Yogoland aren’t your typical dessert. Sure, they feature sweet flavors blended with real fruit and chocolate, but they also contain little to no fat, feature four types of active cultures that promote a healthy digestive system, and are OU kosher certified. This range of healthy attributes lets clients decide how healthy or decadent they want their treat to be, customizing their treat from 50 flavors and 50 toppings. For a healthier cup, clients can choose the nonfat, no-sugar-added wild strawberry frozen yogurt topped with slices of mango and kiwi, or after a hard day, treat themselves to cookies and cream frozen yogurt topped with gummy bears, sprinkles, and Oreos. The shop’s staff also blend up smoothies for a healthy fruity beverage.

As a child, Inga always looked forward to the delectable popcorn treats that her mother made using special family recipes. When she became a mom herself, Inga made the same treats for her children. Soon, however, friends, neighbors, teachers, and bus drivers were all clamoring for popcorn of their own, prompting Inga to open her first Inga's Popcorn in 2011.

You can order her certified organic, Indiana-grown kernels in time-tested flavors such as caramel and white cheddar. Once a month, though, she also experiments with different spices and coatings, resulting in specials such as pumpkin pie popcorn and snickerdoodle popcorn dipped in dark chocolate. She even crafts customized batches based on her client's flavor specifications, and assembles snack bags, sampler tins, party bags, and party troughs for special events.
