Sammy Hernandez has achieved a lot of success during his basketball career?perhaps most notably, he played for George Mason University when the team reached the Final Four in 2006. However, Sammy might be most proud of his current position as founder of Sammys Full Court Prep. The program offers girls' and boys' basketball camps, clinics, and leagues, as well an afterschool program and birthday parties. And the former forward helps kids take their offensive and defensive moves to the next level during personal and group skill-development training sessions.
Discipline is better when it comes with a field trip to the beach. Kendall Dynamic Center's summer camps teach children respect, courage, and responsibility through martial arts, while at the same time engaging them through crafts, entertainment, and camaraderie. Rafael Ramos founded the facility, and as a longtime student and instructor of martial arts, he sets the scene for an encouraging space where kids can enjoy themselves both indoors and on fun outings while building character. After learning how to use traditional weapons, break boards, and deal responsibly with bullies in the morning's tae kwon do class, kids channel their creativity through art and kick back for a session of video games or sports, perhaps heading out later to play in the ocean or spar with a water-park fountain. The center also holds after-school programs where kids of all ages can learn martial arts in a safe and guided environment.
Kids are always told to reach for the stars. But at Trampoline High, they can bounce for them instead. Inside the 10,000-square-foot facility, wall-to-wall trampolines invite visitors to defy gravity while they spring about and play games, including dodgeball and basketball. Healthy aerobic exercise hides beneath all the fun, but it's also the driving force behind Trampoline High's instructor-led fitness programs. Those fun workouts help kids and adults mix up their exercise routines, all without having to join an additional gym or go to their current one blindfolded. The numerous benefits of bouncing around Trampoline High have certainly grabbed the attention of the community, including Telemundo during its "Rostros de Nuestra Ciudad" series.
Safe, springy, and super-exciting: kids and adults can agree on that description of Off The Wall Trampoline Fun Center's 11,000 square feet of trampoline space, where every surface (walls included) is either bouncy or softly padded. Besides hopping around like kangaroos on a moon mission, visitors can play low-gravity versions of dodgeball, or an all-dunks take on basketball.
Off The Wall's remaining 25,500 square feet contain other exciting indoor attractions as well, including a rock wall and and arcade full of new and old-school games with a variety of prizes available. A restaurant with a java bar is also available for guests looking for something to eat or drink, with beer and wine available. Inside a two-level laser tag arena, players defend earth from invading alien robots during pitched battles beneath strobe lights. A special jump area has also been set aside for younger kids, along with a toddler playground designed for kids 6 and under. To reenergize after a long day of play, the whole family can reconvene at Off The Wall's caf? for Angus burgers or slices of New York-style pizza.
Within the storied walls of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino waits Passion Nightclub, a two-level oasis of bright neon lights and hot DJs. In the seven years since the club first opened its doors, it's hosted such musical acts as Lady Gaga, DJ Pauly D, LMFAO, and at least three New Guinea singing dogs?not to mention the three DJs who keep the crowds dancing at all times, spinning EDM music.
Each of the club's five rooms boasts its own independent sound system and VIP bottle section, which offers top-shelf vodka, tequila, cognac, and champagne bottles.
