Perhaps the most indulgent part of Spa Synergy is its massage-therapy treatments. The spa’s baker’s dozen of treatments range from the classics, such as Swedish and deep-tissue, to more specialized therapies, including reflexology, couples massage, and even Indian head massage, which relieves tension in the head, face, neck, and shoulders. The massage-therapy team even shares their knowledge of muscle manipulation during hands-on teaching sessions, which demonstrate techniques clients can use to massage their partners.
A number of other beauty specialists contribute to Spa Synergy's mission. Aestheticians treat wrinkles and blemishes with services such as microdermabrasion and facials specially designed for mature or teenage skin. Waxing services include Brazilians for men and women. Like tractor basketball, the spa wouldn't be the same without special equipment; clients can sweat it out in a far-infrared sauna or tackle cellulite with the vibrating GX-99 System.
Soft music plays in The Massage Suite's quiet chamber as therapist Jessica James glides her palm over a tense shoulder. Certified in Swedish massage, James deftly stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems with the style's flowing strokes. Her sensitive hands are quick to adjust to her client's desire for an increase or decrease in pressure, and she can incorporate stretching and hot stones to loosen stiff joints. Heat therapy is James' ally, as she also reaches for steamed towels and Prossage ointment to bathe taut sinews in gentle, penetrating warmth. Clinical specialties include easing sciatic pain, softening scar tissue, and restoring motion to frozen shoulders by getting a sinew from the same muscle group to tag it. Nine complimentary therapies such as peppermint foot scrubs and cocoa facials reveal her appreciation for aesthetic indulgence.
At Shelly's Advanced Skin Care, owner Shelly Pagnota and her team of trained and licensed aestheticians take a clinical approach to pampering their clients. This is most evident in their slate of rejuvenating facials. Aestheticians conduct nearly 15 types of facials, such as the age defense facial and the vitamin C peel and firm facial, which uses a combination of vitamins and glycolic acid to give the face a younger, firmer look. The staff adds on a chemical peel to every facial if needed, and also offers microdermabrasions and massage services.
“It is our mission to provide the highest standard of Chiropractic care to our patients and our community. We understand and appreciate the fact that no two individuals are the same and as such, each persons treatment must reflect their specific needs.
Before each initial treatment at Massage Heights, an experienced, licensed massage therapist assesses a client’s physical condition and inquires about his or her individual back bothers and sore spots, making the ensuing knead comfortably customized. Hourlong massage options include the Swedish massage, which uses calming strokes to erase tension and put an alarm clock to the ear of oversleeping lymphatic systems, and sports massage, which is designed to enhance endurance and reduce recovery time. Weed out deep-seated soreness with a deep-tissue massage, or experience relaxation for two with a pregnancy massage. All of Massage Heights’ kneads are performed on a cushy, heated table to loosen limbs and ramp up relaxation, and the linens used are super soft, like babies’ kneepits. The added hot towel/cold stone face massage uses aromatherapy and soothing stones to relieve sinus congestion, and the peppermint foot scrub relieves aching leg anchors with a tingly, festive scent.
