Opening a small business might seem like a big step for some people, but Ron Wimmer had seen enough in his life to take a risk. After traveling the world as a photojournalist for five years, Wimmer returned home and opened his first professional studio. He moved his family and studio to the Midwest in 1994, and he has since kept busy doing what he loves: capturing intimate moments from behind the camera. Today, Wimmer works both on location and in a Wauwatosa-based, 2500-square-foot studio, snapping photographs of individuals, groups, and families, among many other subjects.
Professional photographer Jaci Sumner approaches every shoot with a clean slate, taking cues from the personalities of those centered in her lens rather than imposing a fixed aesthetic onto a client or occasion. The resulting photos are marked by a certain naturalness and are made unique by the photographer's willingness to break with outmoded photography conventions.
When she's not taking photographs, Jaci engages in locally focused philanthropic efforts that include her own organization, ProjectStella. The initiative was named after her dog and studio companion Stella, and has raised funds for the Milwaukee Humane Society since 2009.
Suburban Studio will snap crystal clear, high-quality shots of you and a companion or your entire family in virtually any setting. Settle into the comfortable atmosphere at the interior studio, or request that you and a photographer rendezvous at an outdoor scenic location, such as a park, a tree house, or the inside of a coconut. The friendly, knowledgeable Suburban Studio staff will even make suggestions on how to look sharp for the camera (by choosing the right clothes, wearing subtle makeup, and striking imaginative poses), while encouraging you to make your own statement. These skilled shutterbugs work to personalize set designs in advance, ensuring you'll capture the essence of your relationship.
Seasoned shutterbug Jeffrey R. Kepner brings more than 25 years of photography experience to each photo shoot. A background in photojournalism helps him to capture the essence of each moment while snapping high-contrast black-and-white or color shots of families, graduating students, and even pets. Though Bella Classic Photography's studio provides a professional backdrop for photo shoots, Jeff also travels to shoots at parks, jails for trees, and other scenic locations. Digital retouching yields crisp images, which can be printed or shared digitally.
Framing the natural, comfortable poses of their subjects, the experienced shutterbugs of PrizmPro Photography LLC combine stylish aesthetic with traditional, laid-back photo sessions either at their loft studio or on location in Oshkosh. During the one-hour session, children, families, or pets may take one outfit change to don their favorite jersey, stylish dress, or studded leash. Posers looking to portray themselves in their natural environment may smile for the camera from the comforts of their home, and those looking for an alternative location can pose against the backdrop of brick walls and hardwood floors in the well-lit confines of PrizmPro's clean downtown loft studio. During the one-hour lens fest, subjects may step outside for a few outdoor shots of them casually leaning against trees, contemplatively staring into the clouds, or angrily shaking their fists at the sun.
In one photo, a baby sleeps snugly atop an acoustic guitar. In another, two toddlers sport fetching fake mustaches. The shots are characteristic of Clare Rose Photography's work, which isn't shy about imbuing snapshots with a little individuality as long as it doesn't mean Photoshopping your bank account number across your forehead.
