A five-time American Taekwondo Association World Champion, chief master Von Schmeling, began Victory Martial Arts to teach pupils confidence and leadership skills while imparting martial-arts techniques. Classes capped at 30 students, with at most 10 students per instructor, cover disciplines such as general martial arts, krav maga, and self-defense for thwarting assailants and heavily armed spiders. Budding martial artists hone their craft alongside loved ones in family sessions or practice maneuvers in age-specific sequences for kids, teens, or adults.

The Florida Muay Thai LLC owners and trainers, Paul Marfort and Robert Mosier, have studied the ancient fighting style from coaches around the world, learning and competing in tournaments as far away as Italy, Uruguay, and South Africa. But at home in their studio, they're less concerned with shaping new competitive fighters as they are with making muay thai accessible to students of all ages, abilities, and walks of life. Classes—available for both kids and adults—focus on correct stance, pad work, bag work, and boxing drills, and also aim to foster a sense of camaraderie among students through teamwork. What's more, a special women's-only self-defense class is also taught at the studio. The course doubles as a high-intensity cardio workout as students learn potentially life-saving skills and gain the strength and confidence to handle all sorts of situations.
The instructors of Central Florida Kumite & Martial Arts lead students of all levels through shito-ryu karate. They help adults and children build strength, discipline, and self-confidence by learning ancient forms and techniques. The occasional weapons workshop allows students time to practice with nunchucks and canes.
Students as young as four years old learn to respect themselves and others as well as self-defense skills inside Orlando Taekwondo. Taekwondo skills become more advanced as students work their way through belt colors, and special classes introduce weapons training and grappling techniques. The family-run school doesn?t stop at self-defense skills, though. Instructors use fun-focused class time to teach students select words and phrases in Korean as well.
Kickboxing classes deliver a knee to the face of fat, burning up to 860 calories an hour with the high-energy striking moves of martial arts and boxing. All four limbs get in on the bag-bludgeoning action at iLoveKickboxing as each class provides a full-body workout that tones arm, leg, and tentacle muscles while tightening the body’s core and improving balance. Hitting the heavy bags won't skin your knuckles once you don the included boxing gloves, which also double as excellent spring-loaded props for re-creating Three Stooges gags. Class times and dates vary based on location.
