The Marble Slab Creamery sensory experience begins by just walking past the storefront, where the buttery scent of fresh-baked waffle cones drifts out into the air. Gourmet ice creams are freshly crafted on site from Marble Slab’s original recipe, enticing customer's eyes with a rainbow of colors. Once clients have made a flavor selection, they choose from a smorgasbord of mix-ins, from fresh fruit to nuts to candy and crumbled cookies. An ice cream chef then hand-folds these ingredients into the ice cream atop a frosty marble slab before packing the finished custom flavor into a house-made waffle cone.
In addition to hand-held treats, Marble Slab Creamery sends customers home with ice cream cakes with customized flavors and mix-ins, cupcakes, and hand-packed quarts. The store's catering team can even spruce up a corporate get-together or school function by bringing in a sundae bar.
Serenity Now Yoga centers anxious minds and forges substantial mind-body connections for students of all skill levels during yoga classes in a variety of modalities. Sprinkled throughout the studio's weekly schedule, gentle beginners sessions banish stressful thoughts and recurring nightmares by giving patient instructors the opportunity to introduce fundamental poses at a slower pace while imparting invaluable deep-breathing techniques. The Vinyasa Flow class challenges experienced students with sequences of vigorously transitioning poses that occasionally incorporate headstands, handstands, and kickstands, honing the unwavering focus needed to maintain balance during a staring competition. To ease withheld tension in the body's canvas of connective tissues, the Yin Yoga class loosens tightly spooled muscles and opens inflexible joints with deep stretches and mindful breathing.
Many women feel intimidated by going to the gym. To combat that, the staff at LOA Fitness for Women has created a club that caters exclusively to females and their individual needs and goals. Members can build endurance and camaraderie during group classes, which include Zumba, spinning, and Pilates. And rather than draw bicep lines on their arms with a magic marker, exercisers can tone their muscles on Nautilus equipment. The gym also helps members better their health through nutrition seminars helmed by founder Delaine Kansol.
Lying face down, the students press into their hands into the floor, lifting their heads and shoulders toward the ceiling into cobra pose. As the studio's 100-degree heat pervades their muscles, students feel their spines lengthen, their shoulders broaden, and their chests open. The instructors of Bikram Yoga West Orlando lead participants through this and Bikram‘s 25 other postures every day, combining them with two breathing exercises in a specific sequence that strengthens and lengthens muscles and joints while pumping oxygen-rich blood into the organs, glands, and internal hard drives. Every 90-minute class follows the same routine and challenges participants of all ages and practice levels. Bikram also encourages dedication—the more students practice, the deeper they can go into each pose, reaping benefits including decreased blood pressure, relief from back pain, and lowered stress levels. Shine On Yoga welcomes bodies of all bend-abilities to stretch and strengthen in a variety of daily 45- to 90-minute classes. Beginners can discover inner bliss within level one sessions, during which certified instructors teach proper breathing and alignment techniques, and already practicing pretzels can twist into triangles of transcendence in level three.
