The trainers at FeLine Fitness understand that no two bodies are the same—that's why they customize personal-training routines to each client's specific needs and goals. All the while, they strive to make workouts as engaging and exciting as possible. To foster a social atmosphere, they also lead groups of up to 5 people through small group training sessions, groups of up to 25 through boot-camp workouts, and outdated Internet browsers through online fitness programs that enable them to run faster.
In the eight years that Jay Broxton has worked in the fitness industry, he's trained people from all walks of life—from young kids to professional athletes and celebrities, including Kansas City starter Tank Tyler and newscaster Pam Oliver. Backed by a personal-training certification and a lifetime of athletic experience, Jay captains his own fitness program—Body That Works—where he joins fellow fitness instructors to lead clients though comprehensive boot-camp or personal-training workouts that combine cardio with strength-training and TRX-training techniques. Committed to battling youth obesity, Jay also conducts a variety of youth athletic training programs designed to prepare students for upcoming athletic seasons or full-contact chess tournaments.
The instructors at CrossFit Around the Corner motivate their patrons to whip into peak physical condition with the CrossFit program-a fitness regimen that many professionals in special ops units and police academies rely on to strengthen and condition their bodies. The instructors can scale the daily-changing workouts to suit varying skill levels, and teach mastery of functional exercises. One day, students might power through squats and cardio drills, and the next, they might heave medicine balls and climb ropes, which prepare them to scale long braids to rescue area babes locked in towers. Participants thrive on support from their classmates and plenty of one-on-one attention from instructors, guaranteed by the studio's low athlete-to-coach ratio.
To complement CrossFit's high-intensity routines, the instructors also lead yoga courses, which can help to release dedicated CrossFitters' muscle tension while enhancing their flexibility.
Go Hard Bootcamp pushes participants toward personal wellness with a curriculum rooted in strength training and cardiovascular endurance. The indoor and outdoor classes cater to all fitness levels, inviting both bodybuilders and sofa security guards to benefit from the instruction. Under the encouraging guidance of the boot camp’s trainers, exercisers aim to oust fat and replace it with lean, toned muscle mass and boosted self-esteem. Go Hard Bootcamp clients also benefit from the camaraderie of exercising with fellow health-seekers, as they perform the tough routines and occasionally burst into four-part harmonies of “Eye of the Tiger.”
